When you bite into the cream bun, it has an extremely light feeling that gives you your favorite sweet but not too sweet" satisfaction. have been to the Baldwin location, yorkdale location, and now this location! this ones definitely my favourite because it’s in Markham! so much closer to home and so happy their in the area now! started off with the hojicha latte, which was a nice change from the other big tea, match. nice tea flavour and not too sweet which was really nice! Buns were awesome as usual and had the seasonal flavours of yuzu and hazelnut and a third one with the melon bun. Super soft texture to the bun and a nice smooth cream on the inside! Right now, they have a grand opening special of buying 5 buns and get 1 free! definitely coming back to try the matcha pudding (fun fact: their matcha is legit! Imported from Japan!) and some japanese sandos! for best selection, come early as they are new to Markham and can sell out fast! Great service and attendant was super friendly! These cream buns are so delicious! Light, airy, soft, fluffy and not overly sweet. The inside flavours are pronounced so you can tell what the flavouring is but not too sweet, which is nice. These buns are so light that its easy to eat a few. Purchase 6 buns and there's no tax. They have seasonal flavours as well as their standard line up. Some of my favourites are matcha, matcha + red bean and chocolate. Service is very fast and the staff are very friendly. Definitely a must visit if you're in the Markham area or in Yorkdale.

Such soft, pillowy cream buns! Matcha has the most powerful flavour and was my favourite. Wanted to try the melon buns but they were sold out when I went. Seems like a lot of items sell out, so it is a good idea to try to get there earlier or to order ahead.

I am a big fan of japanese food. I’m so happy with finding real japanese bakery. I got classic custard bun and azuki bean with melon bun. I prefer melon bun! I will definately visit again to try other flavours.

Their cream buns are very soft, with lots of filling that's light and isn't overly sweet. It's definitely better to eat them when they're fresh. I haven't tried many of their other menu items (such as melon buns, pudding, or drinks), but I have previously tried their egg salad sando, which was made with pillowy bread and really yummy. This location of Hattendo is very convenient to get to, in the same plaza as Starbucks and a few other eateries, and has ample parking outside.

We've been going to this location since it first opened up. The buns are so soft and airy. Biting into each bun is like biting into a cloud.The flavours are potent but not overbearing or excessively sweet. The seasonal flavours are a must try. They are usually fruit flavours, blueberry and strawberry were the hits in my opinion.The buns can be a little pricey, but if you buy 6 or more, then there is no tax.Sign up for the points program as well.The service is good, the attendants are courteous and pleasant. The packaging changes with the seasonal flavours, and it's always a treat to see the creative designs.

These cream buns are so delicious - not so sweet and pretty light. They also have pudding and fruit sandos (sweet and savoury) here. You do need to eat them within a day or so otherwise they won’t taste fresh. I love their classic flavours such as matcha, red beans, and chocolate. Every season, they also have new flavours.
