Steveston Community Centre

The best community center in Richmond! They have lots of activities and all are organized so well.Mina is one of the great staff we met. She always make sure we are helped and got what we need.

Lots of parking and the staff was super nice when I went there to use the indoor pickleball courts on a Saturday. However, even with just three courts, the sound in the gym was so loud that we couldn't even hear our own scores being called. The lines on the floor were also faded so a bit hard to see. And the court was priced a bit higher than most Vancouver Community Centres. But at least there were no windows so no glare, which was nice. Overall, not an ideal place to play pickleball but could work if there was no other place to play.

Everything about this community center feels cozy and compact and the good news is that they maximized number of activities and facilities. But of course limitation is seen everywhere due to being so small in size. For instance library lacks content and kinds of books as inventory is really small. Seats aren’t too many either. Weight gym is small and feels limited, hence feeling cramped. And sometimes tennis courts need to be shared for events as it is only facility that can accommodate crowd. Overall pretty good place for local purpose but do not expect depth and quality in all department.

Great Place to Visit.It is a very big place with many options to enjoy and do, like gym, parks, swimming poll and others.You can came with your family and take a lot of fun and good options for all ages.There is still library and others.Just do not loose this opportunity to visit and have a lot of good moments.

I started to call at 6am ,but there was a auto-reply , as in fact the office hours should be open at 6am. The call was in queue after 10mins nonstop calling and auto-reply.My calls was finally pickup and wairing for other 20mins.The staff told me most tennis sessions have booked....This above was not the single case , it had lasted for long.

Lot of fun activities for kids to enjoy. Farmers market on some Sundays is an added attraction.

Love this community. So Peaceful and tranquil. The members of the community are so nice and caring. After spending the day exploring here, I went home to look up owning property there, and I like in Ontario! A definite must when I get older.

A tennis coach in Steveston has been taking matters into his own hands. He also ordered parents to clean up the court as a penalty. Complained about it, the person in charge has been covering up for the coach's bad behavior.
