We hired Heather to photograph our intimate 25 person cottage wedding less than a month before our date. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made! We loved her light & airy documentary style and I am in love with the photos she was able to capture for us.Heather is so incredibly friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had the best day - she even helped our day of coordinator remove the walls off our tent to keep the element of surprise for us and our guests. When the song my husband had chosen for his dance with his mom suddenly disappeared off of Spotify, she quickly tried Apple music for us.During cocktail hour she offered to take photos of anyone who wanted some nice formal shots - our siblings were able to get pictures with their partners and my aunt and cousins got some great family shots. It was something I know meant a lot to our guests, especially since we all hadn't been together in almost 2 years.I would absolutely recommend Heather to anyone!

Heather was our wedding photographer and both my husband and I were immediately drawn to her. Everyone at our wedding has expressed what a pleasure it was to work with her. Even my brother-in-law (who usually is more quiet about these things) expressed how beautiful the photos turned out.She really goes above and beyond in her work. She made sure my dress was fluffed and not a pin out of place in my hair.She wasn't just a photographer but she has quickly become a friend of the family and someone we certainly want to reach back out to for photos! Also, I need to mention her assistant at the wedding, Tanya, was incredible!!!Heather is easy to talk to, great with communication, gives excellent direction and is very efficient without making you feel rushed with photos. Not only that but capturing our engagement and wedding was fun (which I think is very important, especially with the stress that wedding planing can bring). After becoming engaged I knew we needed to hire a photographer & I was very particular.Heather has just been the absolute best decision we have made. She is so professional, talented & easy-going. She had travelled to meet us at my family cottage for our engagement photos & we felt so comfortable with her. Our session created intimate & fun-loving images that perfectly captured us as a couple & pet family.We had a very small out-door winter “Covid-wedding” in a typically unorthodox location (cemetery at my father’s crypt) & her personality & energy still made us feel like the glamorous honey-moon ready photogenic Newlyweds we were. Heather has an infectious, relaxed personality that puts you at ease and gets the most natural photos from even the most uncomfortable people. She never stopped working through our entire session and didn't miss a moment. She caught the tiniest moments and quickest glances that really captured our relationship and dynamic, and you can feel the energy in her photos. We had a sneak peek within 24 hours and a full album of hundreds of photos within a week. If you want to look back on your wedding pictures and remember more than just the pose, she's your girl.

Working with Heather as our photographer firstly for our engagement photos, and then at our wedding in October 2022, has been amazing since the get go. We knew that following the engagement session that she was extremely professional and talented. Her personality is super positive, energetic, and she makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. She is always coming up with new ideas on the fly and works with whatever situation she is in (for us, it was a cold day). She allowed us to have fun and kept our spirits up throughout the day and was able to capture some incredible moments. Her communication is timely and we received both sets of pictures very quickly. It is evident she goes above and beyond for her clients! We truly cannot thank her enough for everything and highly recommend her services regardless of the event/reason!

Heather is an absolute dream to have part of your wedding team!I knew she was the perfect photographer for us when she did our engagement photos. I have never felt so relaxed and had to so much in front of a camera. I could feel our love and laughter through the photos she captured.Than came our wedding day and she made the process so smooth. She kept me calm and relaxed all day. Her and her assistant Tonya are the best duo anyone could ask for!!I reached out to Heather for boudoir shots for my Husband’s wedding gift. It was so much more than a wedding gift. She made me feel empowered and love my body. There is no one I’d recommend move over Heather Hugo for any of our photography needs. She has not only captured beautiful images for our engagement session, but our wedding as well! She is amazingly talented at using natural night to her advantage and making you feel comfortable during the sessions. Heather is extremely professional and just the right amount of bossy to keep the bridal party on track lol. We have had nothing but compliments on our wedding photos. Absolutely breathtaking!! My husband and I were married during COVID but held a wedding reception for our first anniversary. Heather captured the day beautifully, she was professional, organized, easy to work with, and fun!She provided gentle guidance throughout the posed photos to ensure the finished products were flawless. The resulting photos (both posed and candid) are absolutely beautiful — our families can’t pick a favourite, they’re all fantastic!
