Flue Guru | WETT Certified Chimney Services

We had another company booked to do a WETT inspection on our first house but canceled on us the day before. Luckily, Roland from Flue Guru was able to do an inspection for us. There was a few deficiencies to be address before qualifying our fireplace insert. I was able to fix these 6 months later and Roland could revise the report and certify our fireplace! Despite being ultra busy, he was still able to assist us! Thank you very much!

I just had Flue Guru clean my chimney from my wood stove.(16 Dec 2020) Roland and his assistant arrived when promised and did a wonderful job. They took pictures of the stove pipe before and after and the difference was striking. When they left there was no mess or any indication that they had been here. The cost was as quoted and very reasonable. I am totally satisfied with Flue Guru and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Do not waste your time and money with a WETT inspection by Flue Guru. The report was vague and the staff are very unresponsive to questions when it comes time to clarify. We should all be cautious of a company who performs an inspection and then recommends that they do the repair work themselves, at unreasonable rates. Furthermore, the 'problem' items identified in the report were not consistent with the recommended work, leading a client to believe that this company is out to get you for every dollar they can. The inspector, Roland, became very defensive when I brought these issues to his attention - withdrew his previous quote to do any of the work and offered no explanation. Unprofessional to say the least!

Roland and his assistant cleaned the chimney of my wood stove and did a safety inspection (WETT), as requested by my insurance company. The stove needed to be moved forward and the wood floor better protected, which he also did. All of the work was done well and efficiently. The cost was the same as he had quoted several months prior and the report produced quickly. He was friendly and respectful throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing this type of work done.

Roland got me in on short notice to have my WETT inspection done, for a rate better than his competition. Him and his apprentice were very professional and courteous. He had my WETT inspection report completed within a few days.I also accidentally overpaid my invoice by $1100 which Roland sent back to me right away.Overall great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for chimney services.

I seldom write reviews but was so impressed with the service and professionalism of Roland and his associate that I wanted to share our positive experience. We live in a heritage house and are converting the original fireplace into a gas burning one. Before the new installation we were told we needed a thorough chimney cleaning. We didn't know if our fireplace had ever been cleaned so naturally we were concerned about creosote build up. We had one company take a look and refuse to do the job. This made us very concerned so we began trying to find a reputable company that could help us.Roland from Flue Guru was confident and assured us of his companies exceptional skill level and reputation. He was right!Not only do they do regular chimney cleaning/maintenance but they have expertise in cleaning and preparing difficult" and older chimney's for gas installation. Roland is amazing. Always on time, very thorough, never leaves a mess, and we always understand what needs to be done. He has been handling our 34 year old wood fired furnace from the moment we bought our home over the last several years and we wouldn't dream of hiring anyone else. We always send people in need of WETT inspections and chimney maintenance and cleanings his way!

He and his partner were able to come by early, did a great, fast and affordable job on our two chimneys, and Roland generously gave his time to discuss the issue of an outdated stove that needs replacing, and helped me fully understand why.
