Selvi Tailoring : Sewing and Alterations, Custom Tailoring

I used Selvi to make a custom skirt and blouse for my daughter.I had called her up to ask if she can do the job before I gave it to her. Despite the pictures and numerous explanations I gave her,she completely messed up the expensive silk blouse and skirt material.There was no sense in the way she tailored it.The sewing was uneven and there were more pleats on one side of the skirt compared to the other. She stitched the skirt with the print design pointing horizontally instead of vertically which is something basic that any decent tailor would know.The blouse looked frumpy and sagging,with uneven sleeves and cheap buttons, not fit to be worn by a slim 20 year old..She blamed everything from the silk texture, the lining material to the given design.She took more time than was promised(3 weeks) and when I went to get it,it was still unfinished.At no time did she call me and say that she cannot do the job.I was devastated to see the expensive and beautiful materials completely butchered. I ended up paying her and leaving the skirt and blouse with her.If you have any class or taste, AVOID her!!!

Selvi is very reliable and prompt in stitching and altering your dresses.I have approached her many times on an emergency basis and she helped me out.She is very good in stitching and takes time/patience in allowing you to try out all costumes at her place and fixes any issues immediately.Thanks Selvi and wish you good luck.
