Mink Chocolates Cafe

Good place to take a break. The hot chocolate was okay, not as thick as we had hoped for. The mighty leaf tea was good. Clean place with some outdoor seating, friendly service.

Like the outlook of the place, it’s clean & has outdoor seating too which is perfect for beautiful summer mornings, ordered hot chocolate & white chocolate Belgium waffles, hot chocolate had decent taste, but the waffle was cold & dry, maybe just wasn’t my lucky day.

My husband and I came here for the hot chocolate from the hot chocolate festival. We were very excited to try it at the beginning because Mink is such a popular chocolate shop that offers chocolates, hot chocolate, and chocolate beverages in Greater Vancouver.We ordered the flight of four drinking chocolate from the hot chocolate festival. One was a caramel flavour; one was dark chocolate; one was white chocolate and one was the orange one. The dark chocolate was a bit bitter, which was great; however the other three were extremely extremely sweet that I felt sick after drinking them unfortunately. The level of sweetness was exceeding the standard level. I urged whoever has health issues or who has diabetes should not try this flight of four drinking chocolates. In a medical term, I suddenly had the Hyperglycemia. The extreme sweetness from the super sweet hot chocolate created high blood glucose (blood sugar) in my body that I felt very uncomfortable. I had to drink water to dilute the sugar in my body.I always have chocolates and hot chocolates from Beta5, Thomas Haas, Chez Christophe, and Koko Monk. I was totally fine with their chocolates or hot chocolates. But after I had the four super sweet flight of hot chocolate from Mink, I felt very sick. I am not joking.If I will go to this chocolate shop again in the future, I would only order their regular hot chocolate or dark chocolate. I just could not handle the flight of four drinking chocolate that had super sweet flavour. Sorry…However, I would say their customer service was good. They were welcoming, friendly, and caring to customers. The space was comfortable with outdoor seating.

Really good dark chocolate mocha and decent toffee! I did not get any pastries as they did not look good so no reviews on them

I really loved this little chocolate shop and cafe. It is such a lovely mix. I had a hot chocolate as well as one of the waffles on the recommendation of the barista and it was an excellent decision. The drinks also come with a small chocolate which was delicious. I thought the hot chocolate was one of the better ones I’ve had in my life. Overall, it was a great experience and recommend the shop to chocolate lovers.

I ordered a S'more Fondue. Even though I stammered a little because I didn't pronounce Fondue well. But I got a different Fondue. I offered a receipt and said I ordered a S'more Fondue. She said she misunderstood, but she didn't turn it into a S'more Fundue. If I wanted a S'more Fundue I said I had to pay one more time. I was mistaken for a refund and paying again, and when I asked again if what I understood was correct, I said no. He said he couldn't get a refund again because he already paid, and he had to pay again. In the end, I paid one more time and ate.But only one time is okay to have experience.

Lovely coffee shop. Waffles taste so delicious and wash it down with medium roasted coffee. We see this place received so many awards but, we didn’t bother to read up about it. Just taste good all it mater.

I would give 0 star if I can. Came in today around 1p.m and never met any staff at any retail store had worst manner than this! Came back to work and talked to colleagues they experienced the same with the same staff. Your business just lost all regular clients because of staffs. The drinks are good but won't come back for this reason

I feel the regular menu at this cafe is by far one of my favourites.We visited during Vancouver hot chocolate fest. Although the hot chocolate taste was incredible the sweetness level was a DF the charts. We shared a flight and could not finish it.The chocolate bars however amazing!!!!

One of my favourite cafes I've been to. Their drinks were really good, the staff was friendly. I stayed at the cafe all afternoon to work remotely. The internet had a solid speed too. There are only 3-4 outlets inside, which I imagine would get annoying if it's crowded. Thankfully there were very few people working/studying there when I was there. I'd definitely recommend this place for a sweet chocolatey drink!
