Unfortunately we’ve never rented through this agency because apparently Reba, the manager, must have discriminatory issues against me and my partner.It started with her deliberately ignoring my emails requesting to view a condo that was up for rent.We then managed to get a hold of her through my partner but as soon as we sent the application she never got back and after sending her a follow up email, she promptly rejected our application without explanation nor a chance to see the apartment.A few months later, new apartments came up for rent so we emailed her again requesting a new application form but she replied back saying it wasn’t worth filling out because based on our last application, we wouldn’t meet the requirements demanded by the landlords.Again, with no explanation or opportunity to see the apartment. Just a hard, “no.”Until this date, we still have no idea why she rejected us. We mentioned we were both working full-time for over a year in Huntsville, making way over minimum wage, no pets, excellent references (both from work and from previous landlords)We weren’t even asked for a credit check (which obviously wouldn’t be a problem..)So our guess it’s because we mentioned we had a baby. Either that or because we’re servers. But either way, we’d at least deserve an explanation even though it would be discriminating anyways, which goes against the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Needed a company that was willing to manage my Muskoka rental when I was not able to be there and verify quality tenants. Kirsten and her team at MCRS made that an effortless task by helping advertise my rental and finding a quality, long term tenant.They have been very helpful especially through these trying times and have always been exceptional with their level of care, professionalism, and communication to me whenever issues arose.Without a doubt, I would use them again for any newer property management opportunities in the future. I cannot say enough good things about these folks!

Would recommend renting through MCRS. They follow all the legal rules and regulations and are very easy to work with and responsive to any problems in the unit. My building owners were incredibly kind too, helping where needed and even sent the tenants treats at Christmas which was a first for me. Common areas like the laundry room were kept clean and the snow plowing always got done in a timely manner.

worst rental experience in 40+ years. Management did not follow basic tenancy laws. unprofessional. visits to my door without notice - for alleged emergencies that would never meet the legal requirement. illegal key deposit. harassed mercilessly for 4 years because they favoured a neighbour who disliked me and took their word over mine. a rule against propane barbecues disregarded for 3 other tenants, but Notices of Eviction given to me for an electric (flameless) patio heater. Lease rules were interpreted against me - from non-existent sanctions against balcony planters and a seasonal protective bug screen, to condoning smoke being blown at me over the fence (because the 10M non-smoking rule is just a “suggestion”). It gets worse but no need to vent publicly. MCRS made it clear they wanted me out and they succeeded.Note following MCRS response: I stand by the facts in my review. As an experienced lawyer I know tenancy law.There was no assault. Sadly, Ms Deborah Dale’s preconceived notion of who I am led to her believing her own embellishments. I suggest caution when dealing with her.(In Ms Dale’s favour, she manages properties like a sergeant major - getting things done efficiently - when she likes you. And no doubt, she found me a challenge when I stood up for my rights as a tenant.)

MCRS Property Management has been our Condo Corp partner for the last number of years and we are very pleased with our partnership. They are very responsive to enquiries by the Board and owners. Very knowledgeable in finances, contracts and legals. They are also well connected with outside contractors no matter what the projects might be. We look forward to a long, continued relationship with MCRS.

The team at MCRS go above and beyond to increase resident satisfaction. Of course from time to time they will rustle a few feathers when enforcing the rules on behalf of their clients, but they handle these situations like total professionals and are always very fair in our experience. They make solid recommendations to their condo Boards to help them through difficult transitions and know when to call in experts to support as needed. A great team to work with!

If there was a way to warn people and stop them from moving into these properties I would do it. They don't have a clue how to manage a property. They took 2 rent payments out, now I can't eat this month or pay my utilities because they can't return my money. How convenient. You want anyone BUT these clearly incompetent people managing your properties and if you're thinking of renting and they are in charge, RUN don't walk in the other direction.

MCRS by far the most organized knolagable company in the business!!I have been dealing with Debbie Dale and her team ever since she and her husband Don came to Muskoka. her knowledge and experience with buildings and tenants is comprehensive. Her Daughter Kirstin Dale a remarkable young woman, Always about the clients.

Great management! Reba is always professional and kind. Best property management in muskoka!

**UPDATE: I find it very telling, this organization made a distinct effort to ‘harvest’ good reviews immediately following this initial review. My parking space was never defined since my tenancy began in June of 2018, despite numerous requests. Another resident of the condo property has a history of harassing me, one of the issues being the definition of the parking space. MCRS has repeatedly said parking in numbered parking spot belongs to me, yet the parking lot has no lines and no #'d signs, so I have asked repeatedly for a definition of the parking space included in my lease. The response below by MCRS is yet again uncooperative and typical condescension. Apparently this is property management company finds it difficult to define the properties they represent. The company refuses to cooperate with tenants in the properties they manage once the lease is signed, other tenants have confirmed the same. I post poor reviews were they are earned. I stand by this review in good faith with the documentation to back it up. Renter BEWARE!**As a tenant, you do not want to get involved with a MCRS managed rental property. I have been a tenant of for over 18 months at a MCRS managed unit, MCRS has been completely uncooperative with inquiries and I have a file of completely inappropriate communications directly from MCRS owner Debbie Dale. Rental properties are scarce in Muskoka but avoid this management company if you can find accommodation elsewhere. In 18 months, the company will/can not even confirm which reserved parking space on the property is included in the lease.
