LenJo is quite close to my apartment and I really wanted to love this place so I could visit it often. Also, on my first visit I was thinking about buying a cake just by trusting the reviews, or having a sample of the cakes in the form of slices or pops I could separately buy to get an idea for my future cake orders.About the cakes, there was no ready-to-take cakes to buy, and the staff explained that they did not have cake slices either. Any cake orders are accepted at least two weeks in advance, and the cakes are only made per order and are totally custom-made.With no cake options, I tried the rhubarb tart with a latte. The rhubarb tart had an eggy taste that I wasn't a fan of. However, the latte was absolutely delicious and well-balanced. For my future visits, I will probably go with just coffee and less-risky pastry options.

Fantastic little bakery that is locally owned and operated. The staff was friendly and helpful, as well as patient with us as we took our time deciding on what to order. We ended up with a mixed box of cookies: Lavender Shortie (shortbread), Lemon Crackle, and Coconut Macadamia. I'm happy to report that they were all delicious.LenJo has a rotating menu so there are always new things to try. You can check out the website to see what's new or just pop in to be surprised. The physical shop itself is brightly light with lots of natural sunlight and is well maintained.Prices are reasonable. You will clearly pay more than if you go to a big box store for industrially made cookies, but you can tell that these are freshly made with a lot of love. In my opinion, it's money well spent and I look forward to when I return next to try something new.

This is a very late and overdue post!I was suppose to get married March and then August of 2021. Due to closures at our venue we had to postpone. Lenore was incredibly sympathetic and flexible with our date pushed back to November. Our cake was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we had envisioned. My dad is not a huge cake eater, and he went for seconds! Thank you for being apart of our special day.

The 20-minute phone consultation I had with Lenore for our wedding cake plans was one of the most pleasant calls I've ever had. That lead to trusting LenJo Bakes with our wedding cake(s), one of the best choices we made for our wedding. It was delicious, the options wonderfully creative, and the service fantastic. Lenore worked with me on the custom idea I was hoping for (3 mini cakes vs 1 large) and helped guide in the design process to exactly what we were looking for including our favours (French macarons). The entire process was great, including the set-up at our event. And we continued to enjoy the cake 1 year later, on our 1st anniversary vacation - we even shared some with the flight attendants! Hands down would recommend LenJo Bakes.

Lenjo Bakes made our wedding day dessert table, and it was the talk of the night! Lenore was incredibly helpful in planning the order, she knows exactly the right amount of miniature desserts to provide based on your guest count. Having a dessert table rather than a cake meant that there was truly something for everyone, and the quality of baking at this place is sky high. Thanks so much, Lenore. Highly recommend!
