Super 8 by Wyndham Peterborough

Sophie was more than accommodating when we had to switch the date of our stay. She made us feel really welcome. The housekeeping staff were so sweet and smiley with our dogs and baby. Room was super clean, obviously a bit older but definitely clean! Bed was comfortable. Would definitely go back.

I stayed 2 nights in a single King bed. The room was very clean and had everything you needed. The breakfast options were satisfactory and included coffee and water/juice dispensers you could use at any time - a very great amenity. The rooms aren't soundproof, so you can hear the adjacent room if they're talking or if people are running down the halls on the same floor (and I suspect the floor above). But nothing got to the level of annoyance during my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I want to recognize Jake for his professional and warm demeanor. He offered great suggestions for things to do in the area and was happy to answer my questions. There were also 2 ladies working the following morning who were very helpful in letting me know how to get to the farmer's market. And the gentleman who was cleaning the breakfast room kept everything tidy and well-stocked. Cleaning staff leave a nice message and are happy to provide additional items if you need them. Overall superstar team.Location-wise: you are no more than a 10 minute drive from anything you needed to get to in the city, so I'd say it's no issue.

Stayed a month ago and I’d absolutely stay again. Located at the top of one of Peterborough’s artery streets, but far enough away from the core that nightlife crowds will not disturb sleepers. Quiet building and good A/C. So clean I happily walked around my room in bare feet and all surfaces from the lobby to the elevator and room were clean and not covered in cleaner residue. Staff from housekeeping to the owner himself were friendly and more than informative about where to go and what to do in Peterborough.One note for guests, I recommend bringing your own pillow if you have neck issues. The provided pillows are big and fluffy and wonderful for short-term use but not very supportive

My stay was excellent. Rarely do you find a hotel that puts so much into delivering true hospitality. My room was spotless, the bedding and linen were exceptionally clean and the room sizes are impressive. The breakfast was enjoyable and plenty enough (eggs, sausage, waffles, muffins, yogurt, cereal, juices and milks and lots of breads). Can’t wait to go back.

I wasn't expecting much to be honest.I was genuinely surprised. This isn't a 5 star hotel, but my experience was definitely 5 star. The customer service was excellent, especially Jake(from Super 8)... as well as all the other staff. The rooms were nice, clean for sure, but the tvs and game systems could sure use an upgrade. The kids loved the pool. the hot tub was out of service, unfortunately. Breakfast was really good, lots of options. We all left full, even the kids. I would definitely stay here again.

Worst hotel & customer service experience we have ever had. We completed a 2 night stay this past weekend for a hockey tournament, and right from checking in we noticed the poor condition of the room, the walls were dirty, Bathroom was falling apart, tiles cracked and grout missing, and there was a 2” gap above the room door. It is badly in need of a full hotel renovation.The disappointment did not stop there, on night 2 we had a run in with a front desk employee who seemed to be having a bad day. We asked said employee for assistance while we were having a kids pizza dinner in the common room, and she stormed over clearly annoyed and slapped a pile of napkins on the counter, storming off and mumbling profanities under her breath, shortly after that display, the same employee screamed across the common area from her desk in front of about 20 guest at a kid trying to get into the pool to join his family. When we approached and offered to assist instead of her having to yell, she angrily made her way back behind the desk and offered the parents some unwanted parenting advice saying “she expects parents to watch their children” in a condescending and disrespectful manner.After this encounter, all we wanted to do was check out and never come back.Thankfully the manager of the hotel came to see what happen and dealt with the disrespectful employee, who quickly changed her tone with all guests that evening.It’s probably the worst hotel experience we have ever had. Hopefully this employee is no longer going to conduct themselves in this manner ever again, but if you go to this location, and they are working, it’s a very good possibility you may feel the wrath of the “angry lady” as all the kids called her.I would never stay here again, and honestly if I needed a cheap, nothing fancy place to stay, I could probably live with the overall condition of the hotel, but the treatment from the employee and overall lack of respect and customer service just sealed the deal on never going here again.
