Alex and his team were amazing! Alex met with us a few times before the build so we could figure out a plan that made the most sense to both of us. He gave us some really great suggestions like the corner step since we have an odd entry into the backyard. (& It turned out great!)My husband and I were a bit worried about building around our hot tub initially but that was no sweat for his team, they built an amazing hatch so we can still access all the electrical and made sure our cover lifter was fully functional without compromising the appearance of the deck.We made a few little tweaks during the build and the team was more then willing to accommodate these and were happy offer there opinions based on there experience.The men that built the deck were kind, and very professional and clearly have a passion for what they do. The neighbours even made a point to comment on how respectful they were.The team went above and beyond and even moved our gazebo onto the finished deck for us which saved us having to disassemble and reassemble. You guys are lifesavers!We called a lot of companies and they were the most courteous, well priced and reliable in all of Peterborough.I would not hesitate to recommend Kawartha Deck Builders to my friends or my family.Thanks again! Alex was very professional and friendly and returned all communications really quickly. His quote came in under others and the final bill was exactly what he said. Alex had the foresight to buy materials ahead of time so that we didn’t run into problems when COVID caused a shortage of materials. He started and finished ahead of schedule and madesure that everything was square and solid. We were very happy with the end result- it’s a fantastic deck that receives compliments from visitors. Every detail was finished when he said it would be and they did a great job cleaning up - even replacing the heavy decorative rocks they had to move during the construction. Alex and his team built a large, elevated deck with composite materials at my rural property. We want to thank Alex and his crew for the fantastic work they did on our 2nd level deck. They removed the old wood decking replacing it with new Fiberon composite boards. They were able to remove and subsequently re-install our existing glass railings.They also installed a water drainage and ceiling system under this deck providing us a shady/dry retreat allowing us to further enjoy our short Ontario summer.We highly recommend Kawartha Deck Builders for your summer outdoor projects.
