Stop what you are doing and head over to Markie's! Order the Smoked Meat! Enjoy Authentic Montreal Smoked Meat right here in Kanata South. This was so amazing. The Staff were accommodating friendly and so happy to help. They had no trouble serving a party of 7. The food was hot, fresh and perfect portions. Oh! and try the fries as well! They are exactly the right to complement a perfect smoked meat sandwich. Plus a pickle. This is my new favourite smoked meat restaurant, where you can dine in or take out, plus you can buy the meat if you want to bring it home. Thank you for a wonderful first experience! We will be back.

Markie's Montreal Smoked Meat
Totally agree with the other reviews about the fries. If you go there, seriously consider trying their smoked meat poutine. The regular size is already quite generous for 2 people. Staff was super friendly. They patiently explained their menu to us, answered our questions, and made accommodations for our requests. Seating was clean and comfortable. They seem to make everything in house. Admirably, they even have salad on their menu.

First time I was in this place and it looks very nice.The place was clean and the staff was friendly.I ordered the #1 Jumbo Smoked Meat sandwich. As a combo, it comes with drink and fries.

Markie's Montreal Smoked Meat
The fries are amazing - just the right amount of salt and crunch. You can get plenty of smoked meat (4oz and 8oz) which is great tasting.But the food is overpriced for what you get in terms of the ingredients and cooking/meal prep complexity. I'd recommend trying this place out during the lunch time special to hit that sweet spot price point!

Ordered the large smoked meat platter. The fries were perfectGravey was really goodThe coleslaw was creamy. The smoked meat was excellent. Pickle was crunchy. Have no complaints about this meal. Will be back.

No need to travel to Montréal to have your smokemeat fix! I had the 4oz sandwich with good quality meat (lean) and pretty decent serving of fries.Friendly staff, they greet you as soon as you come in. Fast and efficient visit.Loved it!

The poutine was very similar to the ones at fries trucks. The smoked meat sandwhich was very good. The meat wasn't the best in the world, but definitely up to par. There was enough of the meat and mustard was noticeable as well. I wouldn't mind more pickle, but not a big deal. Overall a very good experience with good food as well. Coming back sometime!

A must have! Best smoked meat in all of Kanata/Ottawa. Their smoked meat spring rolls are to die for. Super friendly service and very clean environment. LOVE IT!
