I have had two cataract removal surgeries by TLC since 2016, the most recent being in June 2023. My experiences with the doctors and staff at TLC have been excellent due to their exceptionally professional service of the highest standard possible in their field. I recommend TLC Laser Eye Centres to any person seeking eye surgery.

Had LASIK eye surgery at TLC in January of 2023 and am extremely happy with my results and experience.I was nervous about the procedure so the pre-procedure consultation was incredibly helpful and informative.I arrived on the day of my appointment knowing what to expect. The detailed process and experienced staff who explained every part of what was going on made me feel very comfortable.The procedure itself was straightforward and so quick/ painless. Special thanks to Sonia who helped me post-procedure with next steps.Would recommend TLC to anyone thinking about LASIK.

My experience was excellent. I was somewhat apprehensive to begin with but the staff and Dr. Smith ensured the the procedure would be over before I knew it. They took very good care of me from beginning the end. I wish that I had considered doing it years ago. It is unbelievable that I can see far and near and do not require glasses for anything! I thank them all for their professionalism and care in keeping me calm during the procedure. Thanks again, Natalie

Dr Smith was amazing. Everyone in this office was so kind. I was beyond nervous and ended up being sick in the operating room but they took such nice care of me. Everyone answered my questions and soothed my concerns. I’m 3 days later and my vision is amazing. I do have some dry eye but that’s to be expected. Overall amazing. Would recommend

I recently had cataract surgery and as a senior felt reluctant to start this procedure. I can say that my experience was amazing. From my first consultation to post op appointment , the staff were so caring and sincere and my fears were put to rest.. I felt so important to each of them. Such VIP treatment for which I am so grateful.. The surgery itself was quick, efficient and painless thanks to the caring and expert hands of Dr Dean Smith.. such a soothing manner he has…My results are fantastic!After many many years of wearing glasses and contact lenses , I now see the world as a much brighter place. I thank every staff member in this office.. you all do amazing work!

The day of the surgery went very smoothly. Everyone was professional and helpful, and the procedure was pain free and quick.I booked my surgery the Thursday before Good Friday. They told me that they would be open for the next day follow up appointment as a courtesy, which was great to hear as my normal optometrist was closed. I chose this day so I could take the minimum amount of time off of work. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the lack of a professionalism I received during my follow up appointment on Good Friday - the whole appointment was rushed, I was given minimum information and wasn’t asked if I had any questions. They had one doctor working and there were several people waiting. He told me I needed a second follow up appointment on the Monday and walked me to the front desk without explaining why I needed the second follow up. I then had to ask the receptionist to go back and ask him if I was good to drive. I left feeling very anxious and uncomfortable with the lack of information.The second follow up appointment went well, and I received the same great service as the initial surgery day.Overall, I would recommend TLC for the procedure, but would highly advise anyone not to book during a holiday/long weekend.

Excellent place to get your eyes all fixed up! I appreciated the initial consultation for getting laser eye surgery, and the clear walk through of expectations, and how they addressed my concerns-- especially considering this was my first surgery in any capacity!I found everyone who I worked with on the day-of incredibly kind and professional-- the preliminary testing and assessment, going over the paperwork, and then going into the surgery itself, 10 out of 10-- or 20/20?Dr. Dean Smith is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, made the whole process as easy as can be without making me squeamish (which was extra appreciated), letting me know what was happening at each step. I highly recommend you talk to your optometrist about going here for your vision correction and invest in your eye care with TLC.

The day of surgery the whole TLC team was so helpful, answered all questions and concerns. First testing was completed and the scans were redone until satisfied which is amazing for precision. The optometrist was super friendly and reassured me before the procedure. Payment was extremely easy and then the procedure… Dr. Smith was amazing along with his surgical staff, very comforting, spoke through the the surgery with what to expect next, and in 10 min everything was done and immediately I could see clearer.Would recommend TLC in a heartbeat. I highly recommend TLC. From my first appointment, to my surgery and follow-up appointments, I was treated with kindness and professionalism by every single person. Although I was nervous, they ensured I was relaxed and comfortable. I was always greeted with a smile. Each person involved in my assessment and treatment was highly knowledgeable. They provided me with a sense of confidence in their abilities to more than capably take care of me. My overall experience was beyond any expectations I had. Many thanks to the caring people at TLC!

After having had major vision problems, I saw Dr. Ahmad & his team.A cataract was removed with several eye problems involved.The surgery was successful , & the entire team was absolutely fantastic, they were very helpful with every question & concern we had.It was especially comforting that we had access to a phone line for any question, concern, or post op. reassurance.Dr. Ahmad & his staff were amazing & the best.I would highly recommend TLC Laser Eye Centre to anyone requiring help with eye problems.I would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Ahmad & staff for all their care & kindness.Sincerely, John Lecompte
