My wife and I had our son at another place but were not pleased with the progress. We brought him to Amanda at iSwim where we finally found the perfect environment for learning! Amanda is a true professional and had our son so confident in the water after just one lesson.I would highly recommend iSwim to everyone, children or adults who need to learn there lifesaving skill of swimming.

So happy we got the referral to iSwim Aquatics!!! My kids were terrified of the pool, and now both my 1 YO and 3 YO are a lot more confident in the pool! I was hesitant to book as my 3 YO was still in Montessori and I was working often, but Amanda assured me that she would work my very restricted schedule with hers, and SHE DID! We live 45 mins away and were able to use up all our lessons in just a month! Though stern, the kids listened and loved their lessons with Amanda and continue to repeat all her techniques when discussing swim or even in the tub. I can't wait to continue next summer. I wish there were winter lessons!

**AMAZING**I don’t even know where to start! Amanda began working with my kids (just turned age 2 /age 5) 2 summer ago; we started with her ESR program at our home, backyard pool. My kids both immediately LOVED Amanda and her patience was admirable to say the least. My 2 year old daughter had learned to be thrown in the pool, surface herself turn and float on her back while calling for help…. In addition to that she learned to climb out - this barely two-year-old was now safe in our own backyard around the pool, with no life saving gear! Now, at age 3 she can swim the entire length of the pool with 2 breaths and safely take a break on her back if needed…. I am amazed!!!My son completed the same ESR program but even better where he learned to save himself even while fully clothed in a tracksuit and shoes…he can now swim to the bottom of the deep end to collect toys, dive, front and side swim… again… Amazed!!!I had never imagined the amount of progress we had made each summer. We just completed our second summer of swimming lessons with ISwim, and I cannot begin to express the comfort and stress free environment she has created for both myself and my children around the pool. They love, enjoy and respect the water, they look forward to our lessons with Amanda every summer.If you are considering for even a second to get in the water with ISwim, DO IT!! This was definitely the best investment I have made in extra curricular for my kids and we plan to continue spending our summers with the extremely talented Amanda!

I looked at a lot of different swimming instructors for my child and chose Amanda because of her availability to accommodate our schedule along with method. I was extremely disappointed when after paying the full fee upfront I was given a schedule where the lessons were spaced out by multiple weeks. I shared my concerns with Amanda upfront and was told that the schedule could change. I shared that a 30 minute lesson every few weeks won’t allow my child to built upon what he’s learning since this is his first time swimming.Amanda’s communication throughout the entire process (except when I first called to enroll) has been incredibly delayed. We were only able to complete 3/8 lessons due to cancellations (instructor being sick and weather). We had three 30 min lessons over 2 months.Amanda has been avoiding communication to discuss next steps. We feel we wasted the opportunity for our child to learn swimming this summer due to how unorganized and unresponsive Amanda has been.I do not recommend this service to anyone. I see all the positive reviews and signed up due to them. But having spoken to parents that were leaving as we were coming to the pool, they shared similar concerns on scheduling.My advice is when you are running a business and see a customer has a legitimate concern, pick up their phone calls and have a discussion. Please don’t just message that you understand and not take the appropriate actions to rectify the issue. Given our experience, proposing using the balance 5/8 lessons that are already paid for; next summer is not a solution. If you acknowledge that we have had a bad experience due to scheduling on your end you should be able to provide a refund. Or at the very minimum pick up the phone to have a discussion.

Last year I paid for 10 x 45 minute lessons for $480.00 to be completed at the North York location. After 2 lessons, I get an email from Amanda saying that the lessons were temporarily put on pause until she finds a replacement swimming instructor. A subsequent email was sent saying that all North York lessons will be cancelled and refunded unless I would like to come to one of her Mississauga locations. Although I wanted to complete my swimming lessons, Mississauga is not a convenient location for me so I opted for a refund and emailed Amanda in a timely manner asking for same. I emailed Amanda a few times to follow up and left at least 5 voicemail messages but had no success.I am extremely disappointed that after numerous attempts to get a hold of Amanda, I did not even receive the courtesy of a phone call or email acknowledging my request. It will be close to the one year mark since I registered for my classes and I have yet to be acknowledged or receive my refund.It is unfortunate that I received this treatment for a service I was looking forward to using and was told would be a positive experience. Instead it has become a headache and a scam.I hope that if future customers decide to use your services they do not receive the same treatment.

Amanda is a miracle worker—I called her frantic in late May after my 3 year old had his *second* near drowning experience and begged her to fit my 3 little boys (2, 3.5, 5) into her schedule ASAP. She was incredibly empathetic and flexible and made it work for us. The amount of progress all three have made in only a month of lessons has been incredible and very reassuring. She is the best! I am so grateful! 10/10!!!!!

Amanda was absolutely incredible with each of our four kids, ages 1 to 9. She is calm, clear, firm and kind - everything I strive to be as a parent!She had my seven year old jumping in the deep end after only three lessons, when we have done years of swimming lessons where he has refused to put his face in the water. Our 18 month old was wanting to jump in with her siblings! To see her begin to surface on her own and move into a back float was phenomenal.Amanda’s survival-based approach is totally unique to anything I have ever experienced in the past. It makes so much sense, gives me such peace of mind as a parent supervising kids around water, and gave my kids so much confidence. I cannot recommend Amanda enough, the only thing I would change is her availability - I wish we could continue the lessons year round! Thank you so much Amanda for an incredible summer - we look forward to seeing you again next year!

Amanda and her team is exceptional at what they do, my twins have been swimming with them since 11 months and each year we book iSwim again because we have seen so much growth. For our family, water safety is incredibly important, we have pools and a river close to home, my now three year old twins can swim to survive in case of any accident. What Amanda’s company provides is comprehensive life saving skills, this is not taught in a regular swim school at the local community centre, this program is detailed, balanced based on the age of your child and fun! My children will continue to swim and learn from iSwim for years to come because we have seen the growth and confidence in their abilities in the water. If I could give zero stars I would. I signed up for a package of 10 swimming lessons for my 2 daughters almost a year ago, meant to be done last summer in a North York pool. Before we could even have our first lesson, an email was sent out by Amanda saying that the North York teacher is no longer with iswim so lessons are on hold while she tries to find another teacher in the area. A week or so later another email was sent out by Amanda saying she was unfortunately unable to find another teacher so refunds would be issues. She offered some incentive to anyone who wanted to just hold onto the credit and use it next summer. I was clear that I would just like a refund. I figured Amanda was in a bit of a busy time with searching for a teacher and now having T issue refunds so I wasn’t in any sort of hurry to get the money back. Things got busy with back to school and I realized I hadn’t seen the refund come through. I searched multiple times in my online banking (I had paid by etransfer) but was unable to find anything other than my payment. So I emailed Amanda to ask her if she could check on her end. I thought maybe the refund is coming back under a different name that my searches weren’t finding. Though I doubted it since I couldn’t find any refunds of that amount. Amanda responded by email quickly (within a day or so) and she said “That’s strange, let me look into it”. I never heard from her again. She won’t return any emails fromMe. I tried to call but no one picks up. I don’t have time to keep chasing after her and it appears to be a legit business but this is ridiculous. I’m still hoping someone from the company will get back to me and get me my refund though this is probably just wishful thinking. If it had been $50 I might have given up but it was $320 and all I’ve gotten out of it is a lot of wasted time and energy.
