Our puppy had a scrape on his nose we were concerned was getting infected. I called around and every clinic seemed to be booked and said they couldn't see him. Glenwood seen us the same day during their after hours. We were not overcharged what so ever and the staff were also very clear on instructions what to do with our pup. Thank you glenwood we will definitely be coming back.

I wanted to book an appointment for a wellness check for a dog we recently adopted. My first attempt at communication was through their website, however, nobody ever got back to me. I ended up having call to book my appointment. When on the phone the receptionist was very professional and throughout the duration of our visit the ladies at the front were very polite. When we got to our appointment the vet was 25 minutes late (whatever, stuff happens). Before the vet even walked into the room he made us muzzle our dog (who was literally laying on the floor not showing any signs of aggression). After we muzzled our dog the vet asked us what his name was and why we were even there (should the vet not at least have a small idea of what they're walking into before getting into the room?). Then he wanted us to put him on the table. We explained that since he was over 50lbs and still somewhat timid he would probably just jump off. He then told us that he does not service dogs that are on the ground. When we refused to force him on the table the vet got on his knees then screamed because he said his knees were in pain (he simply could've sat on a chair instead). Once on the ground he checked our dogs heart rate and looked in his ears. He proceeded to get up while still screaming and refused any help from us. He then told us he would not go on the ground again. Asked to see our dog walk (he's a tripod so that is a concern of ours) and then he began to walk away as if our appointment was over. When we asked about our dogs weight he simply said he's fine" and walked away. We are appalled by the service we received from this vet. He clearly did not want to serve our dog and didn't answer any questions we had about his weight and food. Nor did he acknowledge the concerns we had with his missing leg. Typically at these types of exams vets have a conversation with the owners and do a full body examination. This vet didn't check his nails or even where his recent surgery had been healing

Great service. Called us about procedure extras, explained each one and what it would cost.Treated us and our Cat very nicely. They also did a follow up call to check on Mr. Tibbs!! Most Vets don't do that. Wow Happy with all the services they have provided to us.

Visit was quick and efficient. First time here for shots for our new puppy. Costs were quite reasonable. Would have been nice to actually talk to the veterinarian.

The receptionist wasn't friendly, I had given all the back ground info I had on my rescue but when I showed up she acted like I hadn't given any info. Then when I picked up my dog she chasized me about not taking care of my dog that I only had 2 weeks and just had her microchip, tattooed, spayed, vaccines, blood work, full check-up and nails trimmed. I never saw the vet. I only talked to the receptionist . I won't be back.

The staff and vet we saw were wonderful people. My dogs experience there was a very good one and she was clearly quite comfortable with them. The vet we saw was such a nice guy. He explained the procedures and costs to us.I love that there's a late night available too. I definitely will be bringing our pup (and our senior cat) back there.

I apologize in advance for the long review but there’s a lot to our one and only visit at the Glenwood clinic in Edson. Back story- My household had welcomed a litter of puppies recently, unfortunately our runt had be declining in health, not gaining weight like his litter mates despite bottle feeding, medication and supplementation. With multiple visits to the Edson vet, involving all of the testing that could have been done on my little guy, he was given the sad diagnosis of kidney dysplasia. Due to being extremely booked they weren’t able to book him in for euthanasia until the day after following his diagnosis. He was not in pain or showing discomfort when this was booked. Unfortunately during the night he went downhill rather quickly- I chose to call the Glenwood clinic in the morning to see if they could fit us in sooner so that he wouldn’t have to suffer any longer. They could, great! Upon arrival we stood in the foyer for over 20 minutes while the front desk answered the phone while my puppy was screaming in pain and discomfort. We’re put into their “grief room”. Once in there she’s brings the debt machine and practically throws it at us saying we needed to pay now. We waited for the vet, once he arrived he questioned and accused us due to the size and age of our pup (he was 36 days old). Asking us who and where we got this puppy. All of which was given to the reception upon booking our appointment. He asked what was wrong and we explained what had been happening over the last week, our concerns, the test results, his diagnosis. Again renal dysphasia. (It’s where your kidneys don’t develop properly in womb, his kidneys weren’t growing to support his body) He picked up our crying pup and proceeded to push and prod on his extremely hard belly making him scream even more. He pushed that we get an ultrasound to see if he could do anything. We explained that he had all of the testing (ultrasound. X-ray, bloodwork, etc) done the day before and we’ve already come to the decision of euthanasia. Then quote he says “you know we could fix your puppy, he could get better. But he’d have to go to the big hospital in Edmonton, and by the looks of the both of you I doubt you’d be able to afford. So this may be best for you” My jaw nearly dropped as tears ran down my face. Making this even harder after having to make this decision in the first place and knowing we CANNOT do anything for him. He would have needed a kidney transplant- which they don’t do on puppies that small and young. The vet takes our puppy back to administer his IV, and comes back. Placed in my hearts he passes quickly after the meds are given- as his young body was tired of fighting. Of course knowing he needed to check for vitals, I pulled the blanket from his side and giving him lots of room to listen with his stethoscope. ( his front arm was forward exposing his entire ribcage and vital area) Instead, he grabs his opposite front paw and flips him over- rag dolling him in my arms. I am appalled, in disbelief and disgusted at his actions and how he was treating his lifeless body. This shouldn’t be the way anyone is treated. It was absolutely atrocious. Based on our terrible experience here, my animals will not be treated here ever again, nor will I recommend this clinic to anyone.
