Really quite unfortunate that Optics Lighting Agency's owners and management team lack the basic level of respect for their employees and clients alike. I worked at the Edmonton branch and loved the team that I worked with on a daily, but unfortunately when it came time to be compensated for the hard work that we put in day-after-day, it was like pulling teeth. I made the choice to move-on rather than go through the stress of dealing with this. But even trying to ask for a fair compensation of commission on all the projects that I had worked on, not to mention designing a whole office from top to bottom which would have cost the owners upwards of $10,000 in design service fees, with promises of being compensated for was ignored time after time by the general manager and the president. Very quite unfortunate because they taint the great names of lighting brands such as Hubbell Canada that has a huge market share and reputation among Engineers, Architects and Designer. They do not recognize the value of people and only see that their own pockets are full. I am writing this after 2 years of leaving my position to make sure I am writing a fair review, and seeing the horrible ways they have treated others after I left makes me feel like it's time to speak up. I will make sure that this review is posted on all job-posting sites also.
