Moving Art

My appreciation for Moving Art goes well beyond a five star rating. My son has been with Moving Art for 5 years and they are amazing! Outstanding Musical Theatre, dance and vocal programs with teachers who demonstrate the highest standards of excellence and support for their students. My son couldn’t be happier !

Am always impressed by the productions at Moving Art in The Loft. It’s a treat to be able to see musicals like Rent, Chicago, Matilda, Frozen Jr Once on this Island Jr to name a few. Always exceeds expectations.

What a wonderful place for children to learn all there is to know about performing arts, music, dance and so much more. We are so fortunate to have a place like this in Barrie. Moving art always put on a fantastic show and I'm amazed with the talent and the production quality. My kids had a fantastic time with their triple threat program. They've learned so much beyond performing arts. They learned about team work, collaborating with people of different ages to put together a show. They learned about hard work, practicing every week, and every chance they get to perfect their part. They learned about commitment, dedicating their time and effort toward something great means saying no to other things some time, but it's worth it. We couldn't be more grateful for the support and encouragement the instructors give the children. I ask my kids how was it" every time they come out of class

Our whole family (parents included) has taken classes at Moving Art! The staff is extremely supportive and always encourages students to do their best and to also try new things. We are so thrilled to be part of the Moving Art family!

Moving Art should get more than 5 stars! The instructors are not only extremely talented but they are so very caring to their students. This is my daughters home away from home and she loves it there! She has had so many opportunities with a Moving Art. For example she has travelled to Atlanta with them for the Junior Theatre Festival, sang in the Mall and just recently was part of a concert that was put on for seniors at a local retirement home!

Carla Tucker, Mike Holland and several of their staff members have been providing dance and theatre off ice instruction for our athletes for well over 15 years and we have always been very pleased with their work with our skaters from Olympians to our beginner skaters. The staff is able to provide a valuable partnership with our skating school.

Moving Art is a wonderful centre for children who are looking to explore artistic and performing arts. We started at Moving Art as recommended for Carla Tucker’s ballet instruction (which has exceeded our expectations) Their Triple Threat program is AMAZING and has been a life changer for my daughter who, through her instruction at Moving Art in dance, theatre and music has developed a passion for the arts. Mike Holland has a natural comedic presentation that puts the kids at ease and makes them confident in who they are. Moving Art is a centre whose core values are to promote a lifelong love for the arts. “What I love is that I see the older people who were dancing when I was little are still friends years after they have graduated” Arianna. The Director and their staff's passion for performance art is inspiring. Young dancers are able to aspire to any form of performing arts that attracts them while training at this studio. I'm truly grateful for the culture that has been created at this studio for my daughter who LOVES to dance.

It gives us so much pleasure to offer Moving Art a stellar review for the truly amazing center for the performing arts that it is. Carla and Mike and the whole team have enhanced our daughter's passion for dance and theatre beyond what we ever imagined. Moving Art's staff are highly professional, approachable and so kind. Their expertise combined with their passion and enthusiasm always shines through. Thank you Moving Art for creating such an amazing space for our daughter to learn and grow in the Arts.

This is not just a dance studio! This is a true community that is so supportive and passionate about the arts. Carla, Mike, and their staff embody inclusiveness, kindness, respect. They give their students a safe space to pursue their own artistic interests and passions, and to grow and develop in confidence and love of the arts. Our daughter started in their dance program and has gone on to pursue musical theatre classes and their triple threat programs as well. We have watched her grow into a poised and confident performer who is now involved professionally in film and television. We are so, so grateful to have found Moving Art and cannot say enough about the direction, support, and overall love of the arts that is fostered within this organization! If you have a young performer, do yourself a favour and bring them to Moving Art!

I recently attended Matilda at Moving Art and I can’t think of a time I enjoyed theatre more than this production. The cast were so talented and acted so honestly that it pulled me into their world. The staging and direction was very enjoyable and professional. I was also blown away by the extraordinary singing and dancing from these young performers. I look forward to future performances!
