Cellphone Dr and Computers

I went to cell phone DR and computers to get my phone screen fixed, The location in downtown bowmanville. Up on Arrived the owner for the store was so nice and professional, she replaced my phone screen and also I got a protector for my phone. I would recommend this place to anyone of my family members and friends. Not sure what happened here. I brought my iPhone in to have the screen repaired. I dropped it and it had a crack in the screen. I brought it in and paid 100 dollars for a screen replacement and a screen protector which seemed like an ok deal I guess. They repaired the screen within half an hour. I was pleased with the service until I got home.When I plugged my iPhone in to charge it turned off. Before it randomly shut off it was sitting at about half battery life. It sat in shutdown mode for about 5 mins while plugged in and when it turned back on it said 0% battery life. I’ve never seen an iPhone with battery life of 0%.I gave it a few more minutes and saw the charge go back up and thought it must have been some sort of weird glitch. But the phone would not charge past 37%. I figured whatever, at least my screens fixed I can worry about my battery another day. But then my phone started randomly shutting off. I would have to plug it in to have it turn back on but when I did that, again, it would show 0% battery life upon start up which was weird. So within 2 hours of being home I called the store back and informed them of the issue. They said to bring the phone back to them the next day and they would take a look at it.I bring the phone in day 2, which is a Friday, and tell them about the problem. They were very accusatory basically trying to make it seem like I was the one who broke the phone. Not just the screen. The whole phone now. Even though it was working perfectly fine before I brought it here. They asked me from what height did I drop my phone. They also seemed to be very defensive when I told them my phone was working perfectly fine until I brought it to them. Besides that, they told me to leave it with them and they would try to figure out the issue. 2 hours later, I get my phone back and it’s got a different colour screen on it than before, making my phone look like an Oreo, and it was told the phone is in good working condition now. I take their word on it, bring it home, same issue. Phone powers off randomly. Won’t hold a charge. Obvious issue with the battery.I call them again and tell the the problem still persists and they tell me to bring it in on the Monday to get it sorted again.I bring it in on the Monday and the man basically pretended like he didn’t know who I was. It could have been the mask, I don’t know. I was also told before I went there Monday that they had ordered parts for me to fix it and when I got there he didn’t have them and had to go pick them up. They tell me to leave my phone with them for 2 hours while they fix it. I leave it for 2 hours. Go back, and then the guy is telling Me now need to leave my phone with him for 2 days because there is an issue with the motherboard.At this point I’m not happy anymore and I tell the man that I want a refund for the 100 dollars I paid and my phone back, since he has now broken my phone. He put up a little bit of an argument about that and then told me he was going to try one last thing.Within 5 minutes of me telling him I wanted my phone and my money back, my phone was miraculously fixed. The issue? A rusty screw he says.During the 3 days I spent visiting this shop I witnessed at least 5 other people come into the store having the exact same issue I was having. They came in to have their screen fixed and now all of a sudden the battery was having an issue.I really think they are running some sort of hustle, holding your phone captive, and trying to charge you more for repairs than is necessary.Avoid this place at all costs.

They were fabulous and so quick! Extremely knowledgeable and very reasonable. I highly recommend these guys for any repairs and trust them. Also he was so friendly! I will definitely be bringing anything in the future I need repair to them. Thanks again! for fixing my cell pbone up.

Awesome experience!I recently destroyed my iPhone screen and was in desperate need for a replacement. Called Cellphone Dr and computers and they were able to take me in ASAP. When I arrived I received quick and professional service, as well as good conversation with the owner. The screen was installed perfectly and really felt like a valued customer.
