Thornhill Nursery School & Kindergarten

Both my kids attended this school from 2.5 years to SK. I cannot recommend this school enough. Exceptional is the only way I can describe it. All the teachers are very caring and go extra mile to help when needed. They are also very solid in academics and prepare them well for grade 1. Both my kids were reading by SK and knew basics of math. This is truly a hidden gem.

We are such fans of their approach to education and childcare. As a teacher myself, I'm impressed with the diverse teaching techniques they use (very different from other nurseries that only use one approach). The facilities are great, with a beautiful outdoor play structure, access to nature trails, and access to the church's indoor gym when it's too cold/wet (again very different from other nurseries that are in strip plazas). Our little one will be returning for JK and SK.

Communication and administration has been very clear and very prompt. We switched our child from another daycare to TNSK. There is a huge difference in the quality education received from TNSK educators versus previous daycare he attended. All teachers at TNSK were very passionate about what they do. We were amazed by all the extra effort they put in each individual child. I am amazed by how much effort they put into decorating the classroom every month. Instead of just doing colouring all the time, the artwork they make at school shows how much extra work staff do behind the scene! On top of that teachers are very good with communicating about our child's progress/ strength/ needs/ areas we can work on. It really helps the kids thrive. They do their very best to keep kids safe during the pandemic. Kids are all happy to go to class. It's not just a daycare.

Very warm and loving environment for kids and parents. We're incredibly happy with the daycare and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to others.

I remember going to preschool here. So many memories when I look at it.
