Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge
The suspension bridge was an attraction. It is actually an entry point to the Ferris Provincial park. The view along the Trent river was beautiful. There are a couple of falls and locks.

The bridge is good but dam was the fun. Make sure you don't miss to step down to walk in lake. It was really nice experience, better you being prepared to get wet in water and also things for evening snacks... which we were missing... it was clean and well maintained.

Walking on this bridge is a mixed experience. While the bridge by itself is super strong and strudy, after a few steps you will quickly adapt to it. You do get good photos and can pose on the bridge for extended time because no one will rush you. There were only 4 cars in the parking lot.If only the bridge could have been 100 feet higher it would have been a more thrilling experience. The park is boring and really small if you enter it from the bridge.

The bridge itself moves very little and it is quite safe so not much of a scare. It's nice to visit if you are in the area or passing by but nothing special to drive from Toronto.Fall colours were not quite in on Thanksgiving.

Small beautiful trail & good bridge there.Lots of mosquitoes there, so don't forget to bring your mosquito spray.Otherwise it's a wonderful place close to Toronto.

The bridge is a really interesting (somewhat harrowing) experience; walking a metal grate suspension bridge over the churning outflow of a hydroelectric dam is quite something and DEFINITELY a trip you'll want to grab a phone case with a lanyard loop for (I would NOT want my phone to slip while out on the bridge; you're sooooo not getting it back if that happens). There's a bit of parking on one side and a nice little spot across the bridge where you can enter Ferris Provincial Park; we sat and had a light lunch before walking back across and checking out some other local attractions.

This was an unplanned find for me but it was so beautiful! The hollowed out floor of the bridge can be a bit unnerving when you're out in the middle and you see the flowing river 40ft below. Superb nonetheless!

Bridge is beautiful and very stable for lots of people. Nicely fenced and pet friendly. My dog did not want to walk on it so I had to carry him.We had lots of fun hiking around the area as well as beautiful views of the dam, waterfall and rapids. Highly recommend for everyone.
