Canadian Tire

Store is normally good, but product they claimed to have was nowhere to be found. Floor staff did about as much as I did to find what I was looking for - looked online and walked to the aisle where it was supposed to be. They essentially shrugged their shoulders and moved on. If you know what you're looking for and where it is, Canadian Tire is great. Warranty on hand tools (non-electric) is fantastic. Otherwise, service is poor.I last used the garage 10 years ago to get emissions and safety certification on my vehicles. They gave me a $2,000 list of repairs I'd need. I went to specialists for a couple of categories (transmission, muffler) - transimission was fine and muffler repair needed was a simple coupling. In all, it cost me about $300 in time and labour. I went to Mr Lube for my certification and I refuse to go back to Canadian Tire's sevice centre.

This weekend I went in to look at the bike selection for with my son. After browsing the selections we went to the sports counter and were greeted by Justin. The service we received completely took us by surprise. Justin took the time to explain what they had in stock and if not on display the techs can build it within the week. There were a few that weren't built and we didn't know what they looked like so he took the time to scan each one and explain their differences and showed us a similar style bike that was on display so we could compare. Unfortunately this type of service is unseen nowadays (usually made to feel that the customer is a burden) especially coming from a younger child. You would think he's been in the service industry for years. Keep up the great work Justin and Canadian Tire hold on to him.

There was a toy in the last season’s section that was the last of its kind. It was ripped apart and taped back together. I asked if they would be able to give a discount given the state that it’s in. I was told that the manager could not approve a discount just because it was “opened.” Ok.. good luck trying to sell it at full price. Next time though, maybe just use your business sense to consider that a measly 10% discount, that wouldn’t even affect your profits, would help clear your shelf.

Terrible customer service. When we were there, there were only adolescent sales assistants. Not an adult in sight. Additionally, somebody had apparently left their children to play unsupervised in the sporting section. The adolescent staff did nothing to stop these children from using the store as their Friday evening playground. It was like Lord of the Flies at this store.

One of my favourite stores, I've had great experiences with multiple products as well as auto repairs (better than my dealer tbh).All they need to get the extra star is a higher employee presence on the floor.

Staff are amazing, dealt with parts and service. Both were amazing everytime I have dealt with them.It is scary how people treat workers who are trying just to do their job witnessed a few not so nice comments to staff even though they are just doing their jobs.

Items are usually in stock which is great but return policy is honestly so terrible. I prefer the Canadian Tire on Merivale or Heron they're much more reasonable with their returns. Tried to return an item and the salesperson asked if I opened it, I actually hadn't and said no but she refused to take it back and was quite rude about it. I try to avoid shopping at this location if I really don't have to.

I bring my car in for all repairs and maintenance. The service is superb and friendly. The Service Manager, Rick Lague, goes above and beyond for his customers. Fast, friendly and helpful - exactly what you want when you need your car serviced.

Do not EVER take your car here for a simple tire change. They have children working here and staff are completely incompetent. We brought our Tesla in for new tires. They put the wrong size rim on our car and our car was rattling nonstop. We took it back the next day and they claimed there was nothing wrong so we took our car home again. We drove it another day and the rattling still continued and we took it back for a SECOND time and they said oops we put the wrong size rims on. The manager Lisa was extremely rude and was giving us attitude like it was our fault that their staff and systems are incompetent. Instead of acting apologetic Lisa was raising her voice and had no remorse. Now they want us to wait over 1 week for new rims meanwhile we now have no car because it's dangerous to drive the vehicle.
