Shoppers Drug Mart

A few days ago, we noticed an older lady at the beauty section keeping a close watch on us while we browsed their location. We wanted to view the stores selection and see what they had since it was somewhere we hadn't been. We were taking our time looking at a few items, and she was not subtle at all. Always checking the aisle we were in and standing there before leaving and coming back minutes later. We are a mix and a more brown color, mind you, so it was really uncomfortable. Another customer I passed by had pocketed a few beauty things and left before us without the security going off. Surprised, no one caught him with how much they were keeping watch on people. Will not be coming to this location again. Felt like a criminal.

Stopped by yesterday to get a passport photo for my daughter and was given nothing but attitude from the lady working the front counter named Donna. She mentioned that the only person available to do passport photos was on break for 30 minutes. I asked if it was possible for this person to come out and take the photo as we were there and we needed the photo done. She very rudely replied “as I said, they are on break.” Oddly enough, my dad said he had the exact same experience a few weeks ago.I can appreciate breaks are scheduled but maybe train multiple people on taking passport photos or don’t offer the service. It was inconvenient for us, and I didn’t appreciate the complete lack of professionalism and customer service.

Since this location prefers to do everything it can to avoid accepting cash (ie: sending every customer to the self checkout, and keeping the regular checkouts closed), I’ll just take my cash (along with my debit & credit cards) to another business. Offer the choice, but don’t push.

After quite a few misplaced prescriptions, mix ups on when they were last filled, the app is not accurate to what refills we have on file, lack of communication when the 'can't fill a request', we are done. This pharmacy used to be great, but has gone drastically downhill the last two years.

Had a horrible experience at this pharmacy today. Went in for a prescription and was repeatedly told by a male pharmacist that it’s not a prescription and is an over the counter item. When I told him my doctor prescribed it to me he continued to tell me that he only gave it to me to ease my mind and that there’s nothing wrong. When in reality, I was prescribed this product for a reason by my doctor.This pharmacist thinks he is a doctor when he clearly is not. He is rude, unprofessional, dismissive, and I DO NOT recommend that anyone go to this pharmacy. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Must use uncomfortable self check outs then they have the nerve to sell you 35 cent bags. Felt like I was inconveniencing them asking for customer assistance. I don’t want to work at your store. I came to shop. Past tense. Wont be back

Update:Cons: Won’t be coming back. Rude staff at the counter. I was using my coupons for multiple items. She told me i can only use 1 since it says “ per purchase” told her well i am purchasing 2 products it is not per “transaction” and i ask kindly if i can ask a supervisor since it never been a issue with other shoppers ive been to and tells me she works enough to know and press the pay button and leaves me and hides at the counter. Additionally, While she is inputing some of my coupons she is obviously looking inconvenienced coz she was rudely typing everything.. i am not sure if she was angry by her long fingernails that wont let her type on the POS or by me using coupons.Pro: well stocked and great selection and good deals/ clearance

Everyone at this store is so kind! Warm welcoming and help with anything you need! I had a lovely experience with Kealey who works in cosmetics. Big shout out.

Pharmacy staff were great, helped out with Covid test conduction in a timely manner

Wow. Worst pharmacy experience ever. I called to inquire if they had a feminine related product that is OTC- male pharmacist got embarrassed and scoffed saying he doesn’t know anything about that, that they don’t have it, he’s never heard of it - made me feel small. I went there and found the product IMMEDIATELY like 6 ft from the pharmacy counter. I went up to the counter to educate the pharmacist and he just shrugged and laughed and said he only “has to know about medications”. Then they laughed amongst themselves as I was walking away to go pay. Very unprofessional and not very helpful. I realize this wasn’t an Rx, however my pharmacy in my city has such caring, educated and considerate pharmacists that they make it their business to know about the products they sell OTC. I’m appalled. If I ever find myself back in Leduc and in need, I will never go to this Shoppers again. Take your money elsewhere, people! Don’t waste your time here.
