Been a member here for years. Customer service is awesome, they know me by name and everytime I walk through the doors I am treated with nothing but respect and I feel like I'm coming home for a visit. I'm not just an account number, I'm a family member.

Very poor customer service - worst banking experience ever - Took over 2 months to get a response (apparently someone was off sick and no one was monitoring messages) I was then provided with multiple different answers from different individuals. Will be ending my relationship with this bank.

Wow will not let you open a bank account unless your credit score is over 620. Jokes on them as I earn 6 figures but don't want a hard or soft search on my credit. Plus the fees are crazy for what you get no wonder they are always empty when you go in.

Great service from Nancy Penhorwood with all our banking needs. She went over and above to get the best rates for us. Very personable and genuinely cares about her clients. All the staff at YNCU on Hespeler Rd are so friendly when you enter the bank. Thankyou for keeping customer service your number one priority.

I gave one star as that is the lowest possible. Customer service is non existent here as is their knowledge of banking. I am a member of the Education Credit Union and went in with cash and asked for a roll of loonies and was refused as I was not a customer of theirs. It has to go through the system so you have to be a customer. I could hardly believe my ears. I suppose you would not be able to use their washroom either. They advertise that they have all the services of a bank and more. This s an outright lie obviously. Any bank would give you change even if you were not a customer of theirs. I called the Education Credit Union and presented them with the same scenario and was told they would give non customers the roll of loonies for cash. Maybe they are just better trained or more customer service oriented. You can bet I will never open an account or recommend the Neighbourhood C.U. to anyone no matter how convenient the location. Very disappointed and have to wonder what the big deal was. It is pretty bad when a so called Canadian banking institution refuses a straightforward exchange of Canadian money. I guess it is the only way they can get members after reading some of the other reviews. Membership anywhere is a choice not forced on you for a simple transaction.

First experience I had with YNCU (location Woodstock) was fantastic. They were able to help me immensely back in Jan 2020. When I came to them here at this location for a similar situation as 2020, Stella took on my case. I was deeply saddened at the lack of help. Very nice and professional, but lack of energy to work on anything, slight judgement - and just a flat 'no unfortunately cant help you'. Took my business to Meridian who went literally ABOVE and beyond my expectations for the exact same situation I had come back to YNCU for. When someone really wants to help you, they show you they want to. So - thanks to the lack of it from YNCU I took my business elsewhere.

I have been going here since our shop got involved with the Credit Union back in the 1980's. It has moved to the parking lot where it is now. I miss the bank books and wish they still had them, but like every other place, wireless is the way everything is going. The Credit Union just recently underwent a major over haul. You see this with banks, Insurance Companies and other financial institutions. It is our money that they do this with and shows you the profit they are making. The interest rates that any financial institution pays their customers is beyond disgusting. The system is set up for the working man to keep working and never get ahead. The new reno's are modern but like most places, they have taken away about fifty percent of the wickets. I think they have two or three now whereas before they might have had four at the most. This place is never really that busy so they can likely justify this move. When I see companies of any kind spending money like politicians on redoing their financial institutions, I often wonder if it is money well spent. Some say they just want to freshen the place up. The service here is pretty good and I can only recall one lady that I see all the time. The staff seems to change a lot and I never if ever, see the same lady twice. They must be getting transferred to other locations? The location here is great, right on Hamburger Alley, aka, Hespeler Road. And today they build buildings in parking lots. Thats the new trend. I think the Cambridge Mall over estimated the parking lot when they built it. You no longer have to fill out a paper withdrawal slip which as you can guess, has gone wireless as well. I was looking for them on my last visit, Friday January the 13th 2016. Thats not a bad idea. I just wish the interest rates were higher so the customer could get a fair return on his money. I have a high interest account and the rate is pathetic. This happens everywhere, not just here. And, I would love to have the old bank book back, but that too has gone the way of the dinosaur. All in all, not a bad place. I don't visit here a lot, maybe five times a year but things seem fine when I am here. Just my opinions.Rick
