Chris at customer service needs a pat on the back and a raise. He goes above and beyond the call for all his customers! One phone call and he is on it! People like him keep us contractors coming back! The rest of the staff also friendly and customer service oriented! Great job guys a prime example of northern hospitality!

There are good websites...there are bad websites. and then you have the Rolston Home Lumber site. I thought it might yust be me so I have attempted to price items more than once....no luck. My last attempt was for 4 x 4" x8' cedar posts....there were 20 pages of replies but nothing close !!!!"

We hired Rosltons to renovate a kitchen and bath for us and Karen was first rate to deal with. Went back twice to use them to renovate a shower area etc each time we were assigned to Jerry who never got back to us after waiting for months and months. Sent a follow up noote last week after not hearing anything since September and got an email reply saying he was too busy. Poor way to treat a repeat customer but they dont seem to care.

My issue is with the man at the customer service desk.( the manager perhaps) He did not seem to care about us or our situation . We were Give a quote by a contractor Friday of last week so today we went in to pay for it at this time he said he doesn’t have the product. That’s fair I understand that but when I asked him when it would be in he said “ when it gets here” He even said “that’s not my problem” when I explained I needed a better answer to best Coordinate the contractors and the machine rentals he never offered to help us get the material we needed. We explained that contractors were starting in two days I need it the material and again he did not seem to care.We ended up calling the Burksfalls location and they were a great help with friendly service.*on a Side Note a majority of the customer service staff were wearing their masks under their nose or not wearing a mask at all. *

I purchased a Beaver Home package from Rolston's and I've had nothing but problems. It started off with them sending me inferior OSB sub-floor when I paid for 3/4 Plywood

It has been very frustrating dealing with this business. We purchased a $14 000 dock a few years ago. We were never told that we should be letting the chain or ropes out to accommodate the winter freeze and have spent a lot of money fixing the dock and getting it back into position the past two years. When we investigated potential solutions, we were told that docks were now being built with access panels to allow dock owners to do this. We had Gerry come out over a month ago to get an estimate for getting access panels added. He said he would have an estimate to us in a week but despite several follow up phone calls and visits to Rolston’s in person there has still been no estimate. Fall is here and we have been left scrambling to solve this problem. If we were to do it again, we would not get a dock built by Rolston’s. They do not stand behind their product and, even when we were willing to spend additional money to fix a problem that shouldn’t have happened in the first place and were told again and again that they were will willing to help us and a quote would be forthcoming, there was no follow through on their part. If you want to avoid stress and false promises, go elsewhere.

Mike Gondos is a pro. He spec'd our deck and provided good pricing and service, with suggestions on all the materials we would need. A competitor quoted only lumber, but left out everything else we would need. Everything was in stock, and delivery was timely. Thanks for your help, Mike.
