Called for some emergency lock smith work after coming home from work to find my deadbolt broken and not unlocking properly. Called Max Locksmith services and was told to find a different company!! Excuse me ?? Well both my neighbour and myself called. Sounded either drunk or half asleep....rude and unprofessional to say the least....managed to get in myself and find a more reliable and highly recommended professional to come tomorrow morning and replace my lock !! Thanks for nothing max !!!

I would give zero stars if i could, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE SCAMMERS THAT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLES EMERGENCIES. They overcharged me AFTER i had authorized the payment on my card - the locksmith & the machine i paid on said the TOTAL was $125, when it showed up on my credit card statement it showed a completely different company name & they had charged me $203!!! I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THIS AMOUNT. The receipt they sent had the name & address of a completely different company in Edmonton that they’re trying to pin their scams on. Of course when I called to complain I was completely disregarded, I’ve disputed the charge on my credit & contacted the Better Business Bureau. I work hard for my money & I want the money this company STOLE from me back! DO NOT USE ANY SERVICES FROM THIS SCAM “COMPANY”

This is a company? Pretty sure this company isn't real or they are the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with over the phone. Don't waste your time. Edit: Upon reading this companies comments I want to clarify. This isn't a a fake review. I phoned them on more than one occasion for a simple locksmith service. Was turned away by the person on the other end saying they don't do the work I wanted. New deadbolt and set of keys isn't what a locksmith company does? Does this clarify my review?

We used them in an emergency over the long weekend. They gave us a price over the phone that was reasonable and said a locksmith would call. Got that call, got a slightly different price but still not far off. Then the guy showed up and said our locks could not be re-keyed. Which they can, they have been in the past. He was a total bully. The instructions were to do the job, then send us the bill and we would pay. He bullied our tenant to pay, and that sum was double of the original quotes. Well, they got there money and we have new locks so there is not much I can do because they wont respond... other than let anyone else know that they are bullies (seriously very pushy on the phone and in person). Oh and to boot, they put some address in edmonton on the bill so I cannot use it against taxes for a rental property. So if you want to be lied to, bullied, and lied to some more to feel safe in your house, Max is your company!!

Max locksmith services are fantastic. Great service, friendly and reliable. I have been using them now for over 2 years and have never been disappointed with the service. They come when needed, and are always prompt and on time. It only took about a minute or two to get the job done and the keys worked perfectly. Would highly recommend!

So Unprofessional, quoted one price on phone for vehicle unlock , then charged $160, and was rude about it. Never ever use this company

I locked my keys in my car yesterday. This company website indicated a $10 service fee and would be onsite within 20 mins. Took over an hour a young man maybe 18 showed up no business card, no brochure, no name tag, no company logo on clothing or vehicle. Got my car open in seconds then tells me the fee is $15 and $150 to get the lock open but he’ll give me 10%off. He says he can do better if I pay cash or etransfer. I needed to pay with credit and get a receipt as it is my company card. Was very shady. Called today to address the no business card, wrong info on website and the gentleman that answers tells me he has no record of me using his service and he’s no taking advice from a grumpy “B” and hangs up on me. Do not use this service. Sub standard and very shady.

SCAMMERS!!! They quoted my mother 249 to rekey 4 locks. They came to her house took off all the locks and then told my mother she has to pay 200 per lock!! They charged her 800 dollars!! Then when she was paying she felt intimidated and bullied into tipping 10%. When I tried to fix the problem by telephone the gentleman refused to do so and said good luck disputing the charges

I accidentally got locked out of the house today. I called for a quote for someone to come and unlock the door. I was told it would be $35 to send the person to the house, then there would be an additional cost depending on the type of lock and how many tools the person needed to use …Well, I’m no locksmith so if the guy came and said it was a hard lock and he used 20 tools and the price ended up being $300 I wouldn’t know the difference would I? Maybe it’s the easiest lock on earth and only needed 1 tool. The lady on the phone was very pushy and aggressive so I hung up on her. I googled it, these companies with the $35 initial price are scam artists all over Canada.I called someone else and it was a flat fee no matter what type of lock or how many tools.
