I had Mr. Colbert’s team install a new furnace 5 years ago. Within the first 6 months I smelled propane. My furnace was installed with a heat conversion kit. They came and couldn’t find the leak. Almost two years pass and I call him again because smell was strong.When Mr Colbert sr arrived he couldn’t find the problem( needed glasses). I found the problem. The heat conversion kit converts gas furnaces to propane. The threaded brass fitting used for conversion kit had a hairline crack ended in being completely cracked. When he took damaged part out he put in his pocket and refused to give it to me. My husband wanted to see part and he shows him a picture, the part was in his pocket. I’m very sick now… I have lung disease. I didn’t sue him because his wife died. I’m so sick now I can’t drive ! Thanks old man for ruining my lungs!

We are a satisfied customer with a New Lennox mini air conditioner, wall unit. Everyone from Jess who responded to my inquiries to Chris our saleperson to Matt and Nick who did and excellent job in the installation. We do not hesitated to recommend Colbert Heating & Cooling. Each one was very friendly, professional, courteous. It was such a delight to work with them.

I called their 24hr service line around 9pm. My home is in Haldimand County which is listed as a service area on the website. I explained that my furnace is not working, and blowing cold air. The technician told me that unfortunately I live too far away and that they generally service calls to Hamilton and Burlington. I explain that my town (Selkirk) is less than half an hour away from their business (Caledonia) and that Burlington is almost twice the distance away than I am. I also explained that it is -10C outside and I have an eight year old and a four year old in the home. I also explained that it's only 9:30pm and my home had already dropped to 13 C, and by morning it will unbearable. I also highlighted again that on the website we are listed in their service area. The technician still stated that he cannot help and would not come help us out. For a company that states they are a family run business with family values, is absolutely ridiculous. To let a family with young children freeze in the middle of January with no logical explanation as to why they cannot service an area that THEY themselves advertise as part of their area, shows me that they lack common decency as well as any compassion for their client base. HORRIBLE business practice, and will recommend to no one.

Has a tech come in for a quote while I was at work two weeks ago before leaving on vacation. Ended up breaking the igniter and leaving my furnace in shambles. Board was saying it was only the flame sensor causing issue(igniter was fine). Said didn't fix it because he figured he was coming right back after to replace the furnace. No heat for two weeks for the person watching my house. Had to use space heaters. Would not recommend unless you want to be sharked for money. Would give negative stars after my experience.

Amazing customer service. Friendly staff, reasonable pricing. You get what you pay for. Had our furnace die during one of the big snowstorms and they came out and replaced it with 2+ feet of snow. We'll never forget it! We used them for our Hot Water Heater as well, and did a great job. Will use them again for A/C when the time comes. Thanks!
