O'Haira's The Salon

I booked the appointment a month ago, online. Things of course have changed for me in the meantime and I had to make a few compromises to get there. I also don't live in the area. But I was really looking forward to my haircut. I did receive quite a few reminders about my appointment.I got there 10 minutes early. 5 minutes past my appointment time I was told the hairdresser had gone home sick, that I could come see someone else available 3 hours later.The receptionist didn't know the hairdresser was not there.I'm really sorry for the hairdresser that I really wanted to see, because of so many great reviews with her name on. I hope she feels better soon.Maybe because of this review there will be less incidents like this one.The place is also really crowded and there is no available parking.

Katherine is amazing! Recently had my second cut and colored gloss with her, and can say with full confidence that she is fantastic.She truly listens to her client to find out what they want out of the cut and follows it to a T. She continues that communication throughout the cut aswell, which I really appreciate in a stylist. Previously I had a cut from a different salon, and there was some holes in my layers. Katherine really helped my hair to get back to a fantastic healthy shape. Would recommend for sure.

Update: to owner :Thank you for responding to my review and all the courteous information. My appointment was not on March 1st and I think you have a different customer in mind :)Writing a review months later since the service as my hair got fried and (it’s naturally fine), and got razored-like during the cut. All the new growth was burnt and I’m still struggling to repair all the damage since over 8 months ago. I walked in with virgin hair after an hour drive, showed the picture of colour I wanted to Shelby and I felt she just didn’t know how to pull it off and her reason behind it was, “hair was not dyed” and wanted me to come back for another appointment to add the other colour. I wanted a couple of colours in my hair and ended up walking out with cheap looking blonde streaks. When I contacted the owner I was first questioned why I travelled to their location from another town, which I felt was inappropriate. I also felt like she didn’t believe my dissatisfaction with the services and offered for me to come back to the salon and since I wasn’t able to do this I’ve sent her pics she still seemed hesitant and wanted to see me in person.I’ve never been so excited to go on a road trip and treat myself esp to Aveda salon but this one really disappointed.My hair is still in recovery and so much thinner since the new growth has been burnt off by this hairdresser (whom I warned my hair is porous) and she insisted to leave the dye in extra long . Not to mention the terrible hair cut using some sort of razor technique on a fine hair. I’d pay the money hundred times over to get my hair back. Awful!

Morgan was a pleasure to work with. She had great ideas and helped bring my bridesmaid hair to life for my friends wedding. Morgan was very personable and helped keep us on time for the day. Thank you again and I look forward to having you do my hair again in the future!

Morgan gave me my first hair tattoo. I absolutely love it!! We’re going to play with different designs in the future.It’s fantastic if you find that you’re too hot with all your hair. Nobody sees it unless you have your hair up and then it’s a lovely accent.I highly recommend Morgan- she clearly loves what she does, she’s so passionate friendly and professional. She’s highly skilled!

Have been going to O’Haira’s for a number of years and am always pleased with my cut and color. Jenny gives good suggestions in dealing with my hair “issues”, whatever they may be! Midori is the best front desk staff I have come across in a long time. Good job O’Haira’s!

Morgan is an amazing stylist and turns my thick and curly hair into any design she puts her mind to. Before I went to her I almost shaved my head because I couldn't deal with my impossible hair, but her creative vision is the reason I don't feel the need to wear a hat anymore and now I actually take pride in my hair everywhere I go.She also recommended a new line of shampoo and conditioner to me and my head looks and feels spectacular!This young lady has serious skills and knows her stuff, 100% deserves a raise.

Shannon is an amazing hairstylist. She always goes above and beyond to give me the colour I love. She is also amazing with my daughters hair which is very curly and she leaves feeling like a princess every time.
