Roots and Shoots Farm

This was my first summer CSA from them and I have been very impressed. The produce is great, the process runs smoothly, and they are highly adaptable to any things like vacations or preferences in vegetables. I feel the price is good for what you get and I love that they offer a pickup location at Parkdale. I will definitely do it again next summer.Photos below show a few of the week’s selections.

Great roots, great shoots. Delicious organic fruit & veg, charming storefront, and features a nice playground for kids. Highly recommended.

We have always loved everything about this place but now we love it even more. We just bought groceries from them this morning. We ordered via text and paid via email transfer. They are doing a wonderful job of handling and keeping things germ free. The produce is beautiful, as always, and very reasonably priced - and we get to support this local business.

I have used their CSA baskets since the summer of 2020. It's a great farm, super reliable, and really great at communicating with their customers. They operate a very welcoming farm with so many opportunities to get involved, attend events, and visit the farm. The baskets are always full of incredible fresh produce and they offer multiple places across the city to pick up your share.10/10 would recommend this farm to anyone looking for local fresh produce in the summer or fall!

We have been getting our veggies at this place for the last three years, and we love it! The owners are friendly and the food is tasty. I've never had such sweet, yummy squash! Highly recommended.

We have been participating in the Roots and Shoots biweekly farm share for a couple of years now, and we are consistently impressed by the quality of the produce. Everything is so fresh, tasty, and beautiful! We would ordinarily throw away things like radish tops and cauliflower leaves, but we find ways to use up everything because looks and tastes so good!

Hard working organic growers.It's the first time in years that I find a place where I can buy gluten free breakfast sausage. I am so happy!They have a little play park for kids and the service is amazing.

THE BEST FARM in the area. The owners truly care about the environment, sustainability and participation in the local economy. Their on-site store is worth visiting to pick up local products and the farm is available for visiting. These folks really invest in their community. Truly enjoyed visiting this farm and seeing the wares which were available. Very friendly staff and owners.

I have had the pleasure of using some donated Veggies - DELICIOUS veggies from Roots and Shoots Farm. They donated through a teacher colleague at Ridgemont High School. I have some Foods classes and they used the veggies in their pasta dishes when feeding the school at lunch . Their produce has also been used in our REC program (Ridgemont Eat Colours - and we cooked their potatoes with their onion and peppers and for several dishes that we created we used their harvest. Thank you very much Roots and Shoots - everything was fantastic and lasted a while in the fridge - I had left the butternut squashes a little too long, but they were still fabulous.

Great quality self-picking berries at a competitive price. The raspberry field was open in late July. Usually less busy than the fields closer to downtown.
