Honest people that know what they are doing. I normally take my old BMW to Edmonton or do it myself but this time decided to use Thistle and they did a great job. I have had other cars fixed by them as well and the work was done well

Okay so Richard, Sharon, Nick and Rob are awesome individuals who make up Thistle Automotive. Their service is A1 and their attitude is even better. I’ve had both my vehicles at their shop for various ailments and fixed without necessity for additional repairs. Costs are very reasonable. But most they are just great folks to deal with

Richard and Sharon are top notch. I know that I'm always getting the best advice and options for my vehicle. They are honest and up front. Thistle has saved me so much money vs going to the dealerships shop. I highly recommend them.

My CV joint busted on the weekend and i called them first thing tuesday morning, they said they could get me in right away. Was quick and they were honest with the quote, and the extras that needed to be done were necessary. They went above to give my truck the once over and let me know other things that need to be addressed in the future, without being pressured into anything.

Prompt, very friendly, honest, reasonably priced - I was very impressed and will return with any other auto repair issues I have. Thistle was recommended to me by co-workers and I can see why. Great personable service. I learned quite a bit about brakes talking to Richard when he drove me to work and the mechanics when I picked the car up. I very much appreciated the ride and the information and advice I was given.

I am not from the area, and as I was running some errands suddenly my turning signals stopped working. I did not want to be driving without, so I called a few shops and was very happy when napa said due to it being a safety issue they would get me in right away. Upon arrival they looked at different light functions, and told me that it may be a fuse which they would check first, and if not then it had to be the lever needed replacing. I asked if he was certain it couldn't be anything else, as he quoted me $650 to replace that part. He assured me that's all it could be, and as I had no other options I trusted him and told him to go forward with fixing it. When I came back to get my car he showed me that the new lever did not fix the problem, and then started telling me it had to be an issue from the after market starter that is wired in. He suggested they go through and remove that, but would take a few more hours and obviously hundreds more. I was already upset at spending so much, and told him I would wait to talk to my husband and see what he wants to do. Later, I spoke to my husband (who is not an automotive mechanic) and told him what had happened, he asked if they checked the relay. I told him I didn't think so, he ordered one online for $25. Two days later it arrived, and the issue was resolved. I am beyond disappointed that an automotive shop took my steering column apart, charged me the most expensive part they could without doing a simple and seemingly obvious diagnosis. It made me feel like I had been taken advantage of, and showed a conplete lack of competence from an auto shop.

Had my car towed here on a Sunday night after the engine quit. Left it in their lot and sent an e-mail explaining the symptoms. They called around 9:30 the following day to report their diagnosis and tell me that the failure was the subject of a recall by the manufacturer. They advised me to get the car into the dealer and have them repair it for free. They charged me nothing for their trouble. Really appreciated the honesty and will be back for future repairs.

Brought my truck in for an out of province inspection and my initial impression of them was pretty good. They updated me on what needed to be fixed and the cost and it was more than reasonable. I've been very happy with their work and I will 100% be going back there in the future.

Fast and friendly service! Had my car towed here after a starter failure. Price was fair and cheaper than originally quoted. I live on the west end of Edmonton but would be tempted to still use them for maintenance. Highly Recommend.
