Porritt Tract York Regional Forest
It was a sunny Sunday in February, the temperature was -12°c and felt like -20°c. Took the out loop and then the inner loop. Walked about 5km. Very nice walk.

Very nice trails. Good place to walk year-round with beautiful fall colors and a very big parking lot that hold up to about 25-30 cars. The only drawback is that there's no sign on the street and the entrance can be easily missed.

Vivian forest, lovely place to walk & gather your thoughts. Its the beauty of the forest that brings you back to earth & you appreciate nature in its fullest. I saw some frogs too, different kinds of bugs, lot of trees in their grandeur & some that have fallen. You have to contend with the mosquitoes too.

The Hills aren't to big and the snow is compressed making it easy to walk on. Bring some boot grips just in case.

The trails are flat and easy. Weren't able to see much colors on the weekend. Don't know what is the situation now. The parking is bit of a hassle. Because there's not much space. And parking is not allowed on the roadside.

So much fun, come with kids to find most common fungus/mushroom in North America, suprisly we could find more than 12 types of fungus/mushroom within 45mins, and maple leaves looks nice in this weather!

There are only about 10kms of trails here, but they are beautiful. The trails are wide and perfectly smooth without too many elevation changes so they would be easily walkable even with a stroller. Parking may be a challenge especially during peak season.

One of my favourite trails in York Regional Forests. For longer walk you can go till 15489 Warden Ave ( easy walk and takes around 45 min to reach Warden Ave). If you are looking for shorter walk there is a loop that you can comeback to parking lot.The trails are all well maintained, wide and flat. All shaded and family friendly. If you want to spend time in nature, quiet and having an easy walking with toddlers or stroller this trail is one of the beat options.There are several pathways to choose.I saw snakes and woodpeckers there.Free parking and no washrooms.Don’t forget to spray mosquito repellent.**some photos are from last fall**

Great forest trails, beautiful flowers around is a bonus<3There are very limited parking spots here, free parking.There are not public washrooms.I don’t recommend this place after rainy days, can be muddy.
