Bathrooms have to be renovated. Once the water turned yellow, and another time I turned on the hot water and the whole sink started to rumble. Even after you wash your hands, you still smell like toilet water. The fountains taste like an ocean.Academics wise, it's a pretty nice school to go to. The teachers are pretty nice as well.

Entering last year. Most of the teachers are great and seem to sincerely care about your improvement (but they all will scream at you at least once a day). However, my dudes really need to hire more gym teachers as some of the HR teachers have to teach a sport they hadn't heard about until last week. The toilets also need to be renovated and smell like toilet water 24/7. The campus is beautiful though. Oh, and lunch is basically like prison so if you are new and entering grade 8 don't bother to stay in the cafeteria. The curriculum is taught better and there is much more room for higher achieving students at this school.

Seriously, the whole time I've been at this school it's gone to a downwards slope. Academically, the school is great. But 0 opportunities, and honestly the school looks like it gets 0 funding. They can't even renovate the washrooms. Since the new principle came in, kids can't go in for help at lunch. I have questions for science and I'm struggling and I can't ask when the teacher is teaching a lesson. Also, literally lunchtimes are prisons. I didn't know I was supposed to purchase a lunch one day and walked into the cafeteria. I asked politely to go to my locker and get my emergency $5. They said no. Inhumane. Escort me if you want to, I just don't want to starve. There's no library either. Every other middle school I've walked into looks bright, and a nice, funded place to be in. This school is really not that. Another thing, is the utter exhaustion of being with the same people for 6 hours a day. It's difficult when your class is filled with loud people when you're quiet, and we are being treated like elementary students. For academics, it is the place to go for sure. Wonderful teachers here. But it would be a shame to see this school wither away because of these abrupt changes that upset us older students. I understand what the principle is attempting to accomplish, but think about the grade 8s and 9s for ONCE, and what we need in these important years. Come on Balmoral, I know it can be better.

Ripping the Pride Flag would get you into more trouble than saying the N word, and some teachers just straight up were unable to teach

this school is awesome, everything you need to be successful. except one thing. we recently got a new teacher in the name of Ms. Moos. she gives too much homework, even when school was on, and also while we are all in quarantine. it is stressful to all the students that have her and its really not fair. we get almost 2-3 assignments per class. how are we suppose to keep up with our other work from other teachers? how are we suppose to also focus on other classes when we get so much work from a single class. and sometimes the assignments we get are not even on the topic we are studying in class. the classes are very unorganized. for example, if i handed in an assignment 1 month ago, i will get an email a month later when we are in a different unit about me not handing in my work. when it clearly has been handed in. and when some students asked her where their work was she answered i threw it out" like that isn't really fair for the students is it? overall the school is a wonderful place and really good academics wise but this one teacher needs to change their ways of teaching because the students are getting overloaded with work."

This school was an amazing school until Ms. Appelt and Mr. Perrone came in. They made the school horrible! Lunchtime is supposed to be fun and enjoying, but instead you are literally locked up in a prison forced to eat your food. Before, students were able to get extra help from the teachers during lunchtime. Now we can't even do that! Students in Grades 7, 8 & 9 used to be able to go off the school campus. Now only the Grade 9s can. her reason, because Fridays are half days now! If you are ever involved in something at school, Mr Perrone doesn't let you tell your side of the story, instead he tells you to Shut up. No Joke. He literally said Shut Up. You are forced to sit in front of that monster and hear a false story, and then get into trouble for it. We used to have a grand, epic, and amazing Library. The librarian resigned because of the new management in the school. That shows how bad they are. Then the school decided to turn the library into 2 classrooms. We literally didn't have a library for 3 Months. They the New" Library came along. The crammed
