I ordered delivery from 3rd party delivery service.. I was excited but kind of disappointed. The good items were Goi Cuon, Thit Nuong and Cha Gio. I was highly disappointed in the dragon eye rolls (super dry and chalky) and the takoyaki was absolutely disgusting, like soggy and undercooked.Probably would prefer to dine in next time as I think it has potential to be better!

Foods are so frrrresh and delicious. Tempuras are definitely recommended, very crispy and yummy. We ate too fast and no picture was taken …sad.Environment is good as well. The private room is well set and quiet.

Food is better than before the renovations. Both the Viet and Japanese menu items were good unlike other places in town that do both.

Pointed to a picture, waitstaff said it was a mix boat, it was definitely not the mix boat and not worth the money. Teriyaki chicken was extremely disappointing...like extremely. Ramen was pretty good. I will definitely not be returning.

Shogun Fusion, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of downtown Edmonton, is a culinary revelation. Despite being open for just a year, this restaurant has managed to create a dining experience that transports you straight to Japan, right from the heart of Alberta. The interior design is a marvel, beautifully capturing the essence of Japanese aesthetics. It's a setting that perfectly complements the food, which is nothing short of exceptional. The Takoyaki, a must-try, is delightful when savored hot. The beef teppanyaki are a standout, tender and beautifully seasoned, their enticing aroma of Japanese BBQ filling the air as they arrive at your table. The beef tataki, subtly marinated, allows the quality of the beef to shine through. An unexpected find on the all-you-can-eat menu is Pho. While the soup base may not be the star of the show, it's an interesting addition that showcases the restaurant's fusion approach. The sushi rolls are a highlight, offering a variety of complex flavors that are as pleasing to the palate as they are to the eye.The owner's warmth and friendliness add to the overall experience, making you feel welcome and valued. Despite the slight misstep with the Pho, Shogun Fusion delivers a dining experience that is truly worthy of a 5-star rating. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking an innovative Japanese dining experience in Edmonton.

My fiancé and I just had lunch here! Despite some of the comments/reviews made about the chicken, I found nothing wrong with the taste. That said, the lemon grass beef was incredible.I have not been to every Vietnamese or Japanese restaurant, fusion or not, in Edmonton yet as a base line for my opinion; however, this was easily the most delicious beef I have eaten in Edmonton in months. To be clear, I'm not suggesting that other restaurants in Edmonton do not also have nice Japanese food or serve poor quality food. The meat served to me was just so delicious, that Shogun will easily be my first choice when I invite guests/friends or family out for dinner going forward. I am usually quite picky with meat when I eat out, too.Next time, I'll give the pork a try as well, but do yourself a huge favour and try the lemon grass beef when you visit. The thin strips of beef were thinly cut, charred wonderfully and packed with flavour. I had it is part of a main menu offering, but regretted not ordering the AYCE specifically because of how darn delicious the beef was once I learned it was available for AYCE, too.
