My daughter has been taking piano lessons since 2015 and she loves going to piano lessons with Melanie, at YaMusic. Although my daughter has had many excellent teachers in the past, Melanie has been her best piano teacher.Melanie is amazing with her incredible energy and her ability to relate with young people. As a previous teacher, it is clearly evident Melanie is well prepared for each class which lends to a great learning environment. Melanie has a great presence in the room to keep everything fun yet productive.My daughter was taking piano lessons at Giovanni Music for 5 years which is where we met Melanie. We were very disappointed to find out Giovanni Music canceled their group piano classes at the beginning of 2020. We were relieved and excited to find out Melanie and Jullian opened YaMusic. All the staff at YaMusic are wonderful people who are passionate about music. I highly recommended YaMusic.

Excellent music school! Jillian and Mel are a pleasure to work with and they know their stuff! Very attentive and patient with children and adult learners alike. The location itself is new and looks great, well maintained. Would recommend this school to anyone looking to learn a new instrument or brush up on an old hobby.

ith the same experience, I personally think that people with no mercy can teach excellent students. First of all, after the child has learned for a few years, the piano technique is really poor... But the piano teacher's answer is always that the child plays very well, but anyone who knows a little bit of piano knows that the technique is very wrong. Finally, my personal suggestion is that it

Our 7 year old has had a great introduction to piano through the group lessons at YaMusic. They go at a good pace and provide a great introduction to many music fundamentals. Lessons are dynamic and he's had lots of fun and enjoyed the variety of pieces that he's worked on. We've been impressed by how much he's learned in just one year. Looking forward to another year of lessons coming-up!

I have known Melanie and Jillian as Yamaha Instructors for more than a decade. Those two women are a force for good in the city of Edmonton and beyond. They have high expectations of each other and of their students. They are well-prepared and well-qualified. They are dedicated, very talented teachers and they understand how to bring out the best in children. I would not hesitate to enrol my daughter in their group or private lessons

Highly recommend this music school and I cannot think of a better instructor than Jillian. She herself is an extremely talented musician and a dedicated teacher. She is patient and invested in her students success and growth. My son had a great experience and we are thrilled with all he learned!

Very unprofessional, their teaching institution is very disappointing, sometimes cancel the course temporarily, sometimes change the address of the class temporarily without notifying us! They only have money in their eyes. If you pay the tuition late, their teacher will ask a 12-year-old child to call his parents and say that he will go home if he does not pay the money! This experience made us very disappointed, and indirectly affected the children! We as parents would contact Yamaha Canada to discuss these unprofessional experiences with them.

My two girls started learning music with Ms. Jillian and Ms. Melanie at the age of 3, and it has been over 8 years ever since. Ms. Jill and Ms. Mel are both outstanding, truly dedicated, and highly talented music teachers, and their commitment to their students is evident. They are patient, caring, accommodative, professional, and knowledgeable.Ms. Jill and Ms. Mel are both highly trained Yamaha teachers who have been teaching the Yamaha curriculum (from beginner to advance) for over a decade. My daughters started with “Music wonderland” course, completed all “JMC” courses, and graduated from the “SAC” courses. They have enjoyed every minutes of the group lessons and the private lessons from the very beginning, connecting with the teachers’ warmth and their consistently positive approach. Ms. Jillian and Ms. Melanie did not only teach them to play piano, but also imparted their enthusiasm and love of music onto my daughters and have focused on developing their musicianship. Moreover, they continually advance themselves, exploring new approaches to improve teaching, and customizing their teaching techniques to suit each student’s particular interest and talent.Now music is an integral part of my two daughters’ life: they play piano (RCM 8 level), they compose (attending many Junior Original Concerts), they accompany (during school assembly and other events). And most importantly, they enjoy it all. We are forever grateful.

YaMusic is an outstanding music school. The piano teachers (and owners) are very professional and super engaging with the kids, to make music fun! Their ukulele and guitar teachers are also excellent. I would recommend this music school to anyone - and any age - looking to have fun while learning music.

We had the opportunity to take group piano lessons with Miss Melanie at YaMusic this year. We could not be happier with the experience! It has been a comprehensive way for my children (ages 5 and 7) to learn music from a young age. They have had the opportunity to learn to play many songs on the piano, read music, sing the notes, write notes in workbook activities, play solos, practice playing in ensembles with their peers, and more. Miss Melanie is a gem. She is such a talented musician, and has a gift for teaching kids! The kids learn and have so much fun with each lesson. Feedback is positive and constructive. She shares the joy of music with her students each and every week. I am thrilled we discovered YaMusic and will definitely be continuing music lessons with Miss Melanie. If you are looking for lessons, my recommendation is to run, not walk, and book lessons with YaMusic as well!
