I'm used to the chilaquiles being amazing! They are usually saucy and their sauce is delicious! I always get them every time I come to this market. But today they weren't the same!! They were super dry, not saucy, they were boring. Salsa verde isn't supposed to be boring. I noticed he had two young guys working I hadn't seen there before. Tell em not to be shy with the sauce! I'd like to come back!

This place is phenomenal!! Used them to cater our small wedding and the food was so good our guests kept going back for more asking where we got the food from. You definitely need to check this place out!!

Best tacos in Calgary (at least for me so far). This must be the first place where after I ordered, I saw cook starting preparation with raw meat (instead of pre-prepared stuff being heated whole day). You can really taste the difference. Quesadillas themselves would be 5 stars, but tacos are another level! Will be coming back as long as food stays this good

Best fish taco I have had in a long time. I couldn’t eat it fast enough! Everything about this location was amazing. Gave it 4stars for the atmosphere because the music coming out of the vendor next door was very chaotic.

I love the Avenida food market! Fresh vendors and amazing choices of freshly made food from basically all over the world. My absolute favorite is Mestizo, their tacos are to die for and their service is even better! Grab a bite and sit down in sips to pair with a beverage. They have live music on Fridays!

The best Mexican in town by an absolute long shot. The tacos are sooo fresh and the flavors are just like your in Mexico. Authentic and definitely made with the love. Just wished he'd be open 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Luis you sir are a Gem and it shows in your food.

We ordered catering for 30 people for a corporate event. I had to reschedule due to weather and Luis was more than accommodating. When we finally held our event, the food arrive exactly on time (even delivering downtown) and there was more than enough to feed 30 people and have leftovers for lunch again the following day for a lucky few staff. The feedback received from all participants was excellent and everyone asked where we had ordered from. I would not hesitate to order catering from Mestizo again!

Mestizo Mexican St Food
I ordered tacos, and black beans to start and it was great. It reminds me of the time I spent in Cancun, Mexico. These 2 dishes are my absolute favorite and I highly recommend to try it out. They are made to order thus, it is worth the wait. I would go back again.
