Right downtown, ideal for walking. Nice hot tub. Building could use a bit of a refresh. No closet or safe in the standard room. The nightly rate here would get you in the best hotel in Edmonton, but you're paying for the location, there are no cheap rooms in Banff. Good indoor & outdoor parking. Clean, but a little rough around the edges. Friendly check in desk.

It’s on the main road and a short walk from everything so we loved that! The hallways are very outdated but the rooms looks modern and refreshing. I give this a 4 star because while checking in (in the building next door) I asked if there was an elevator from the parking garage (below hotel) upwards to the room. She had advised me yes! However, there is none. It’s a flight of steep stairs. A mission with 2 little kids, all of our luggage and a stroller. Once up on the main floor there is an elevator to the rooms. If she would’ve told me. We could stop in front and unload before parking down below and unloading everything. Lastly finding hairs in the tub where my girls need to use the bath was disgusting. I would say that the location and the shampoo/soap used from the local company were the best part.

Great room for a decent price. I like the main sink being out of the bathroom, I'd rather have more space in the main room. Bed was comfortable, good sized hotel fridge, simple room layout. No main desk - check-in is next door at Irwin's. Not a problem but having to walk over to the other building is a slight inconvenience but not a problem. There was a dog barking on my floor for 30 minutes straight, asked the desk and they had already been called by another guest and made the owner come back and look after the animal. Great stay overall so far!

Nice hotel for a fair price. Although the common areas and hallways of this place were perhaps a little outdated, the rooms have recently been renovated and were perfectly comfortable and modern. It was clean and quiet. The body wash was empty in our room. I'd recommend this if you are wanting a place to stay but don't intend on staying in your room all day.

Nice place to stay considering you're in the Rockies and you shouldn't be hiding in your room. A little odd to have to check in at the hotel next to this but we managed. Small vehicles can park underground but larger outside in the back. Recently renovated and is fairly clean.

Well, to start with, there's no lobby in this hotel, you have to check in at the hotel next door. The hotel doors do not lock(no access key required) so anyone can come in and out without problems at all time of day (not very safe). The rooms themselves don't have the security bolt on the door (again, not very safe). carpets look dirty. I saw some damages on an outside wall and some on the bottom wall on the inside. The coffee machine was broken, and I called the lobby, but in the 1 1/2 hour before leaving for the day, they still had not showed up. So I had to go out and buy coffee (and breakfast is not included). A/C was so loud that i had to turn it off to be able to sleep. I could even hear the one from the room above. hotel needs a face lift. Cost of the room for 2 nights? $800. A bit much if you ask me, considering it doesn't look like a 4 stars hotel. The one thing the room was clean.

The rooms were super clean and up to date.. seems like recently renovated. We managed to get the spacious rooms. Super nice! Thank you to the Swedish lady in the front desk and the staff, was super helpful on our small requests.

This place is good value for money if you're out and about all day, skiing and exploring, and you only spend very little time in the room. All of Banff's attractions, amenities, bars, shops and restaurants are in walking distance and it's a great base to go and see the area from. If you want luxury and a lot of comfort, it's not for you. The rooms are basic and except a coffee maker and a bed, there's not much else. Not even a wardrobe. There's a fridge in each room, so we went and got us water, milk, some snacks etc because nothing is provided. That aside, it is really clean and it was good enough for us as we were hardly there. The check in is in the hotel next door, which is odd but they helped us with anything we needed. Breakfast is also next door at El Toro and it's not great. The service is very slow which can mean you miss your bus to the ski lifts.

The room we had with 2 queen beds was great. Super comfy and very spacious. Great location and the staff are friendly.I docked 2 stars because we got very little rest. The rooms facing the street are next door to the backpackers and the bar shuts at 2am. Drinkers will be out the front shouting till at least 3am every night. We lost a day on the slopes because we had no sleep so, warning!
