Diane Deans is a long time councillor who has demonstrated integrity coupled with sound judgement and knowledge of city issues. I truly could not think of a better city representative or better person to stand up for her constituents. My only lament is that she is a councillor and not the mayor ... but then ... there’s always tomorrow.

Diane Deans is divisive! She needs to learn the relevance of her words! She is the chairwoman of the Ottawa Police Service Board (huge responsibility) Her handling of the protest in Ottawa has been ignorant and negligent! She referred to all protesters as “mercenaries” I’d suggest she learn what that word means! That kind of talk, coming from her position is divisive and uncalled for! Perhaps when the inquest to all this happens, the lawyers representing those affected will take a hard look at the words she used and probably the direction she gave the chief! Unbelievable

Diane Deans is a terrible leader who should resign from Council. Firing the Chief, but agreeing to pay him almost A million dollars in salary and then secretly hiring an interim Chief who retired from policing 7 years ago. She is divisive, arrogant and incompetent in her role.
