Carmelitas Restaurant
Tried Carmelitas for the first time for brunch! They have a decent brunch/lunch menu. I got the tacos which were great. I'll need to come back to try their other offerings.

Stopped by for lunch here on a Sunday, after seeing the great reviews. Did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in the atmosphere was wonderful. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and answered all of our questions regarding the menu. The food was great! Very flavourful. And honestly not bad prices. Had a lovely experience and will most definitely return when we’re back in the area.

Pretty regular burrito, good but not great. In a neighborhood that has many Mexican options this one does not stand out in the crowd. It was quick and very reasonably priced, but underwhelming overall.

I unexpectedly went to this restaurant and I really do not regret it, the food was very delicious, everything was fresh and fast. Love the quesadillas, pupusas and piña colada, definitely I’ll go back to this place.

We were in the mood for some Latin food and decided on a new place nearby.Hidden away on Dundas west and Keele is Carmelitas restaurant. A fusion of Mexican and Salvadoran that is full Latin flavour.The nachos were amazing and different than your typical nachos with a blend of many different cheeses. The shrimp popped in your mouth and had a nice spicy kick.We finished with fried plantains covered in condensed milk, which literally got an oh wow" out of me

This spot is a hidden gem in Toronto! If you’re looking for some authentic Mexican food, this place is it. The taste of the food makes you feel like you’ve been transported to Mexico. By far some of the best tacos I’ve tried. Perfect balance of savory, sweet, salty, spicy and fresh flavors. Don’t skip out on the Birria tacos. They were definitely a highlight.

It was my first time here, but my friends always raved about this place. This is a Mexican and Salvadorian restaurant, so it’s a mixture of both cuisines, which is nice. Got the essentials, ceviche, guacamole and tacos. Wow, the tortillas here are amazing. So fresh and tasty, probably one of the best I’ve had here in the city. The carnitas taco was very delicious! They also have really good in house hot sauces, which I recommend if you like an extra kick. I definitely want to come back and try other items off the menu. Service is also very good.

Came here a couple of months ago for the first time. Not a big restaurant but seating nicely spaced out. Food was delicious and I was particularly impressed with the shrimp fajitas, large shrimps and the dish presented very well cuz of the colours. Pro tip pork pupusas more flavourful than chicken. Definite do over!

Carmelitas is an absolute gem in town. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff made me feel right at home from the get-go.The menu at Carmelitas is extensive and has something for everyone. The margaritas are especially delicious, and the food is out of this world. I highly recommend trying their fajitas or their enchiladas, both of which were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavors.The atmosphere at Carmelitas is relaxed and fun, with fantastic music playing in the background and friendly chatter amongst customers. The decor features traditional Mexican artwork and bright colors, which adds to the lively vibes.Service is impeccable - my server was knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly, and always made sure I had everything I needed.Overall, I highly recommend Carmelitas for anyone looking for an incredible dining experience. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is unbeatable. It’s the perfect place for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner with your loved one.

The BEST Mexican restaurant I have ever been to, every taco was so fresh and delicious. The fish, beef tounge (I hate tongue, never like it ever.)Great place to share or order your own.
