Coffey Joseph Dr

I’ve seen dermatologists in Ontario and they used to give me injections to grow my hair back. I come home to NFLD to continue these treatments and Dr. Coffee’s literal words” I’m not going to do anything about that” I have alopecia.Anyways, Dr. Coffee is just another NFLD doctor with too many patients on his hands to give a care.I’m not sure where the good reviews are from, probably from people who never had the chance to see a good doctor.

I like to read reviews to give me a basic idea of other peoples experiences; hence leaving my experience / review. In the broad scope of the Dermatology world I have read how demanding this career can be. I am confident that the previous negative reviews I have read are due to the high demand.I am a survivor of melanoma. I have had only one visit with Dr. Joe and after a professional, to the point, examination I left his office feeling relief that I had a Dermatologist who was very professional, thorough and compassionate all at the same time. Thank you Dr. Joe :)

I highly recommend! Always a professional experience at this office and all staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would not go anywhere else :)

Dr. Coffey was fantastic with my 3 year old son. We were referred by our family doctor and heard from them within a few days. From the date of referral to his appointment was about a week and a half, super fast if you've ever tried to book a specialist appointment. At the actual appointment he introduced himself as Joe to my son, did foot high fives (a covid speciality), and examined my son in a way that he didnt even have to touch my sons tender skin irritation. Not a single toddler tear shed. He was very informative and thorough. Explained treatments options and his recommendation. They even gave a printout of information on his diagnosis. Highly recommend.

Dermatologist Office, friendly staff and punctual appointments. The Doctor I met was friendly, knowledgeable and wanted to assist.

My 9 year old grand daughter went here to have a laser procedure which we were told would fix her condition in 1 treatment. It didn't do a thing for her and almost $300 later she is devastated. They offered to do it again at the same cost again. Crazy.

I see Dr Coffey twice a year and have complete confidence in his hands.He shows compassion for his patients and concern for my health. I travel across the island to see him because i know he is looking out for my well being...

Dr. Coffey is an amazing dermatologist who sees his patients on TIME. It makes a huge difference, he runs an efficient office that dealt with my friends skin cancer in the early stages, changing their life. I trust Dr. Coffey with my family.

Tried to book an appointment after returning to the province after living out in Alberta for 2.5 years. Was advised I missed appointments in 2016/2017 that I wasn't in the province for or booked myself and could no longer book there. Had no phone or email notification and they were unwilling to budge on the misunderstanding.

I have eczema on my hands and get flare ups every now and then. I've been trying to book an appointment to see Dr. Coffey for a recent flare up that I had and have had no luck (I am a patient of his and always have problem booking appointments). I explained to the receptionist that I have so many cuts and wounds on my hand that I can barely do anything, but they just seem to not care. Eczema is no joke to live with and I do not suggest anyone going to a doctor that is not available for the patients with problems such as mine.
