Ive read the comments...yes the staff are nice, friendly and smiley...to outsiders and charity givers...to clients they couldnt care less. if they do care they see it as a worthy of a pat on the back instead of just doing their job.my nephew has been raving psychotic for 2 months now...his feet are bloody and his toe nails grew so long they were curling over his toes.im depressed, angry and Im wondering if there is good care available anywhere for him. certainly the salvation army are just keeping him alive but not helping him be healthy or get better.so depressing. seriously. its breaking my heart.

Centre of needing lots of Hope. But a safe clean enviroment. Food provided. No guests allowed 11pm curfew go out then stay out till 6 am. $1100 per mo. Or eligable E.I.A. Status. Unsafe the minute you leave building.

The staff n case workers are nice here. They helped me out when I was down n out from where I lived in the city. Yet i have 2 jobs when i have a steady place to wake up from. My friend took advantage of me n kicked me out when i had no more $. I spent some nights in the streets n bus shelters. I was told I had a place there to to go if i needed it in the shelter so i went after i was told i got reffered a bed. They let me in right away when I needed a place to stay when I told them about me n who referred me. I always thought The breakfasts there are always good when u have no where to go in the mornings. I like the place there. Think I got a referral to go in from someone I know that works in that type of work. My boys always wanna be with me where I am. There with me rn. I had to leave to take care of them n take them away from the drama there having with ppl that are causing them problems in school. There mom wanted me to take them away from there problems for awhile.

It is definitely better than living on the streets. With what the kitchen staff have for a budget, the meals turn out quite tasty 99.9% of the time. Thank you Salvation Army Booth centre for putting a roof over my head and 3 squares a day.

My friend has been forced to stay here while waiting for housing that is wheelchair accessible. He needed to be hospitalized for upwards of 5 weeks with a bad infection in his remaining leg. While in hospital staff threw out the mattress in his room do to what was deemed by them to be biohazardous waste. They took over a week to take care of this, as they put it, immediate health risk. They took it upon themselves to throw out his personal effects as well. Photo albums, collections of knives and artwork, high end winter gear, electronics and many other things that did not need to be thrown away. He returned to that room upon discharge from the hospital as well so it makes even less sense. Although he was not allowed to return to the facility until he gave them around $100 to cover the cost of the matress removal and clean up". Yes

Well its not a 5 star hotel. And some of the services are Questionable. But they do provide what they are contractually obligated to provide.Given the clientele. The building has not aged well.As long as you are sober. The staff will not bother you. Its not a prison. I could come and go at will. They certainly do not deserve 5 stars. And I am hard pressed to give them 4.I found that . If I did not give them trouble. They did not give me trouble.

We took cooked meal there and staff was so nice and helping. They helped us in arranging the tables and told everyone to make a line while we serve the food. Everyone was so disciplined and waiting in line for their turn. We are planning to cook another batch for people who live there. Its a lovely feeling to give something back to society. God bless them all.

Don't even feel safe walking by this building. Hire some security and people to clean up the mess your clients" make. Entire area around this place is a disaster."

Meals are surprisingly delicious and healthy. They have frontline staff who do their beat to accommodate those who are in crisis or transition. Grateful for help because my apartment was flooded during an extreme weather conditions.

A safe place food provided daily small toiletries available free phone one may even receive a significant clothing voucher for the thrift store there is also a chapel located within the building for anyone who needs or wants I got a key to a room before and the only requirement was to sign in once a day so they would know if I still had the key... beautiful views of the city from the women's floor and the seventh floor windows that open for fresh air in every room I've been in... there is no shame in ever needing their services and I am not ashamed... was decent and a good place to be out of necessity... a very decent, good place
