Sunrise Montessori School

My son has started his journey at sunrise since he was an infant. I absolutely adore the infant teacher (miss gracie), and throughout toddler to now Casa. Miss sue is his favorite teacher, and she is so loving and caring. His academic and social skills have greatly improved. Love the staff there including the beautiful principal grace, and Ms Gracia who greets us every morning. The facility is super clean, and new hence I chose this one from the beginning. Regular school year requires uniform which is great, and summer camp is wonderful with its funfilled activities. My daughter will soon be joining the infant class, I definitely recommend this school. Thank you staff for being so wonderful!

My child loves the school and the teachers very much. I have personally witnessed how the staff are very caring and go the extra mile to take care of the children in class and especially on field trips. The food in Sunrise is not 5 star, but the education my son receives completely trumps the concern of food, unlike what some parents seem to be only superficially concerned about in previous posts. Overall this is a great school. Highly recommended. Keep up the good work Sunrise!

My son stared in this school when he was 3 years and my daughter when she was 5 months. Ms Grace, the principal is a wonderful person in whom you can trust in the care of your children, she is always aware of anything that happens and if you have questions or concerns she is always willing to listen. We love the teaching methodology. We are specially grateful with Ms Grace and Ms Mariam (infant teacher). My rating is not 5 because the food is not healthy and they repeat the menu a lot, the children like it a lot but it is not the best for them. However, for my baby they allowed me to send their own food, which made things easier. We leave the school because we leave Markham but we would come back with out doubts.

We love Sunrise! Our kiddo loves going to school and is learning so much. The teachers are great. We highly recommend Sunrise!

Today is my son and daughter's last day at SMS. They were a little emotional and so was I as their 5 yrs journey in this amazing place came to an end. My son started from the toddler class when he was 1.5 years old under Miss. Ivy, a caring and loving lady who always has her magic comforting little ones and having them learn perfect phonics. I was not hesitant putting my daughter to the SMS when she was ready to go to school where Miss. Rachel, Miss Victoria and Miss. Irene are all amazing in engaging students' interest and teaching both academic and social skills in math, reading, penmanship, public speech (show and tell) and much more. I am proud of my children graduating from SMS, getting equipped and prepared to explore their bright future ahead. For that, I am grateful to the SMS under the leadership of Ms. Grace who is a true entrepreneur and educator.

My daughter start from this school from last September, and last week something happened between their teacher and some kids, so the relative department involved, and last week with my wife we went to school and talked about the thing, and with Ms Grace( principal)we agree to let the the relative department to do their job, and also we decide to put my daughter in their and we paid also. During our conversation we never made complaints to the school and the principal Grace. So this Monday just after March break my wife took my daughter(4 years old) and my little daughter(9 months) to the school as usual, the principal Grace stand in front of them, said gently and firmly we can’t go to her school start from today

My son enrolled at this school when he was 9 months old and took most of the first steps of his early life with his teachers. 5 years later, we only have positive things to say about Sunrise and their teachers. They have provided a safe environment where he has had every opportunity for growth and development, curiosity and creativity, building social skills and self esteem, gaining new experiences, learning, discipline and independence .We are grateful for their patience and empathy, nurturing, care, positive influence, moral guidance, enthusiasm, hardwork and sacrifice.We highly recommend Sunrise Montessori.

A very clean school . The teachers are hardworking and patient towards the children . I am glad my child is in this school . No regrets .

Our daughter just completed her first year of JK at SMS - under the amazing, professional, and extraordinary guidance of Ms. Rachel. Our daughter was very shy at the beginning about new experiences and changes. We are thrilled with her progress from the past year including both her academic developments and social skills. The school, under the leadership of Ms. Grace (Principal) provides a great foundation for developing essential life skills within the Montessori curriculum. Personal attention given is key for our daughter's success by all SMS faculty! Field trips and special events were well and safely organized this year, and provided a lot of excitement for all the kids. We are happy to see a balanced menu provided by the school - for both lunches and snacks - we are big fans in our family of maintaining a healthy diet. We are excited to return for the upcoming SK year and we are grateful for all the support received from the SMS team!
