My experience at CCFA was outstanding. From the start Maria was welcoming and accommodating. My primary counselor amongst the rest of the staff were phenomenal. My level of care was beyond my expectations.The love and appreciation I recieved from CCFA was without parallel. My treatment plan was personal to me, and I honestly could not recommend this treatment program any more than I do

For those who are looking to reviews to assess whether or not they should attend the facility, I think its important to note the reviews left here are for the Centre's Toronto office address (or mailing address im not sure). There are many more reviews for the Port Hope inpatient facility (just google canadian centre for addiction port hope" and you'll find it). If you sort the reviews there by "lowest first" you will see that not everyone's experience was as positive as the five perfect stars on this forum suggest. I'm noting this because I didnt realize there were more reviews for the actual rehab centre

The CCFA gave me my life back, I struggled for 20 years with my drug and alcohol addiction and never truly believed I was an addict. I lived 20 years in denial and was finally able to break the chains" with the tremendous care and support from the staff

What an amazing place to heal. Qualified, friendly and knowledgeable staff provided holistic support through recovery. I was able to receive medical resource access and supervision; group and individual sessions; and made some really great contacts that I hope will continue on. I would highly recommend this centre as a private space to heal but also as a place to set course for my future. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to attend this program.

Had a great time here and have been doing wonderful since. Learnt a lot and can say I highly recommend going here if you’re struggling with addiction. Although one councillor named Jeff is a very rude ignorant individual. Most people during my stay here had the same opinion as me. Would highly recommend you request a switch if you get him as your primary as early as possible before it is too late. Even if he seems okay at first, I can promise you everything will change throughout your stay and they will not let you change after so long. Other than that, CCFA is a great place with great people who are committed to helping you change your life for the better if you are committed to doing so!

We were working to get a very important friend some badly needed help. Seth and Justin worked with us. Both were great at what they were doing. Seth came and conducted an intervention with us, and was perfect for the implementation. He is intelligent and kind. He is able to communicate in a manner that helps the patient understand the process and make it as comfortable as possible. Justin was also very helpful in explaining and implementing the admissions process. It was very comforting on our end to be treated with respect and compassion, and what I believe is true caring.

CCFA has been an amazing partner in my recovery. Qualified staff were super friendly and approachable. I especially appreciated the fact that I had medical and psychotherapy access throughout my stay. I must also compliment the Chefs for ensuring I began enjoying meals again!

What an overwhelmingly positive experience! With the exception of a few minor speed bumps (as can be expected in recovery), my 30 day stay here was nothing short of magical. I must admit that I came into this house a skeptical, terrified, and broken man. I was hopeless, and I was lost in my addiction.With the guidance of the compassionate and knowledgeable staff (from the counselors and psychotherapist, to the administrative staff, and even the cleaning and kitchen team members) I was bravely able to face and begin healing some of my deepest traumas. The programming included a broad range of science-based clinical studies and holistic classes (mindfulness & meditation, yoga, art therapy, stress management etc.) as well as an introduction to the spiritual 12 Step Program. I was hesitant regarding the latter, but I highly recommend utilizing ALL possible resources available in recovery. If there's one thing I can attest to, it's that going into any program will first and foremost require an open mind and heart.Lastly, the best part of this experience BY FAR were the fellow people in recovery. I can't express just how mind-blowing it is to connect with a group of people who genuinely understand what addiction is. The vulnerability and honesty and friendships that were built here are truly inspiring, and are at the very core of any recovery. I have absolute faith that many of these connections will last for the rest of my life, and I am extremely grateful for CCFA for making that happen.Other pros:-beautiful location, lake-view in the distance-secluded and private, surrounded by beautiful forests-gorgeous century home with rustic appeal-great amenities, comfortable rooms-amazing staff, great programsCons:-some inconsistency in rule enforcement (depending on staff)-strict curfews and medication times-minor lapse in food quality when both chefs quit at the same time (but this has since resolved)

My son is currently at CCFA and his is now 30 days clean, thanks to you. My son has his life back due to your facility and amazing staff. Everyone has been so supportive and caring. Thank you CCFA from the bottom of my heart.

There is not enough good things I can say about CCFA. From the amazing property and imentities to the the incredible staff and counselors, it is truly amazing. It was a life changing experience and gave me hope and direction again. I recommend CCFA to anybody who is struggling and looking for a better life.
