My family has been going to Dr. Yao's dental clinic since early the 90s. He has done an excellent of maintaining my teeth from childhood all the way into my late 20s. Both Dr. Yao and his dental assistant are incredibly kind and professional.

A few days ago I was struck with crippling tooth pains.A cavity had eaten down to the pulp in my wisdom tooth and I was desperate to fix it.I called over a dozen different dentists in the lower mainland area and the earliest I could be scheduled was 2 weeks later.When I called Dr. Paul Yaos office and explained my situation, his receptionist Kelly said she'd see what she could do. A few hours later she called me back and somehow made me a 30 minute spot with Dr. Yao early the next afternoon.My tooth was taken out the very next day and when speaking with Dr. Yao, I learnt his team tries their best to squeeze people in that are having extreme pain.All in all my experience was fantastic, I didn't even feel the needles or the tooth extraction and the pricing was very fair compared to the other clinics I had called for a quote and appointment.I highly recommend Care Dental, A+++

Dr. Paul Yao is by far the worst dentist I've ever seen. He clearly runs this dentistry business purely to maximize profits. He schedules appointments too close, makes patients wait an hour and half past their appointment times all the time (other patients I've met have shared with me the same grievances while we all wasted time in the waiting room). I recently went to have my wisdom tooth extracted, he ended up doing that and also re-did two fillings in a 45 minute appointment. The filings were extremely sensitive but I wrote I off as just a temporary side effect. Weeks later, the pain got so bad that I couldn't even drink water. At this point, Dr. Yao still couldn't squeeze me into his schedule to check what was wrong. I went to another (and much more competent dentist) who showed me via x-ray and pictures what a horrible job Dr. Yao did with my fillings. Not only do they all need to be redone after only 3 weeks time, they have damaged my teeth and we found more problematic filings from the past that he did. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
