I have hired Dave from DR Fireplace to do three jobs for me. The first job, with a colleague, was to install a new Valour gas insert. Dave is very methodical and applies great attention to detail. Nothing is rushed, everything is exact from measuring the existing fireplace location to the actual installation.The location of my new Valour had to be augmented so Dave built the gyproc wall out about 5 inches to accommodate the new unit, as it was bigger than the previous fireplace insert.Dave did a great job, neat, tidy and square, building out the wall. I then asked him back to tile the wall. He advised me where to look for the tiles and who would probably give me the best deal.His attention to detail is second to none, I can't stress this enough. He took at least 3 hours figuring out tile placement, making sure that I would be happy with the overall look. He layed down all the drop cloths to protect the carpet, and completely cleaned and vacuumed after he left. you wouldn't have known a workman was in the house.The resulting fireplace is a thing of beauty. My house guests utter oohs and ahhs on the finished product. I've been asked by two friends to refer them to Dave as they were so pleased with the result.Dave also installed a a freestanding Jotul fireplace in my suite, and a Rennai gas wall heater in my office. All workmanship done to a very high standard.With Dave, there are no surprises. You know the cost up front, no add on's, and you know it will be done on time and in a professional manner.In the future, I will only use DR Fireplace for all my fireplace needs. Dave was great to deal with. Was so patient with all my questions and we were very impressed when he contacted US about our permit expiring soon on work we had discussed but not booked him for. We wouldn’t hesitate to call him again and did a great job running our gas lines.
