Had such great service today! Went for an eye exam and new frames and found everyone to be very professional and friendly. I highly recommend Origin Optometry! Thanks again to Dr Watson and the whole team. I will be back again for sure for all my eye care needs moving forward.

I moved to Nanaimo not long ago and needed to find a good optometry clinic in here. Took a visit to Origin optometry based on good google reviews and it was great choice to make! Dr. Petreman was very thorough on eye exam on myself and my husband. He was there answering all of my questions and my eyes now feel never better in 10yrs! I also deeply appreciate all the staff members who are also very knowledgeable and kind. (Especially Brenda!) They always welcome you with great smiles and so nice 100% time. I'm very looking forward to visiting Origin ongoing years for my family.

Doctor Amber Henderson has truly amazing customer service skills and is fantastic optometrist.Had an eye exam today, she was understanding of my complaints and offered potential solutions as well as explanations and answers for all my questions.Front desk staff is amazing as well, patient and welcoming!My whole family goes here for eye care and would highly recommend to anyone!

I really appreciate the attention to detail which starts with the aesthetic of the storefront, with sliding mirrors revealing other frames; that along with the additional selection of frames in drawers all along the displayed frames made the experience of really seeing the features of each frame much more pleasant.The flow of my appointment with Dr. Petreman was also great and felt very thorough, in fact Origin Optometry was suggested to me by a colleague who was impressed with her eye exam, stating that it was the most thorough she had ever had.The technology as well as the the Dr. working with an assistant to collect data so that he can focus his attention on the client, was particularly impressive, and suggests to me that the business is 100% client focused, on providing an easy experience through something that isn’t always the most comfortable.I was truly impressed with the customer focus of the entire staff, and walked without with feeling pressured to buy frames there (perhaps other comments on here have helped with a softer approach); in fact I found it to be the perfect balance of being helped without feeling pressured. That being said, I will likely return to Origin for frames, as I really enjoyed the selection from funky to trendy to a nice fit.Well done, one of my more pleasant and memorable experiences with optometry, I haven’t checked my eyes in years cus I dread it so much.

The staff at Origin are always welcoming and kind. The optometrists are professional and thorough. I always feel genuinely cared for at my appointments. My children are always treated great and given a little something special. I have recommended Origin to many friends and they have all been very happy with their service.

Nice people, updated technology, decent glasses selection. However, I've noted major increases in the prices for eye exams, which are now significantly higher than what my insurance considers a reasonable cost - so I wind up paying extra out-of pocket to make up the difference. Shopped around and realized that prices for these services at this clinic are around 30% higher than others in Nanaimo area. IMO its not worth the extra so I'll be getting next eye exams for myself and kids somewhere else.

Dr. Jesse Petreman has been my optometrist for 8 years. He is constantly upgrading his knowledge, equipment, and practice, all while keeping his workflow extremely efficient. On my last visit, we did a full eye exam, replaced my glasses, and customized the lenses for an extremely good price. Every time I go, I feel like I am learning something new about the exam process, vision health, or eyewear; I always have an active role in my vision needs.

The staff and Dr. Jesse Petreman at Origin are top notch, they treat everyone with so much kindness and excel at making sure that everyone has a great experience while at the clinic. It’s a beautiful and comfortable space where you just feel at ease and the appointments are quick and effortless. Great doctors, great staff, and a great clinic you really can’t go wrong!

On July 4, 2023, I had the utmost Quality of Service from the lovely lady at the Front Desk, to Julie to Dr. Amber Henderson. Upon opening the Door to the Business Entrance I was totally impressed at the office Decor, the Equipment utilized for my Eye Examination, and the Examination Process. My questions related to any concerns were answered. Thank You, I have already booked my appointment for next year.

My family and I have been using Dr. Henderson as our optometrist for a couple of years now, and we couldn't be happier with our services. My wife and I never used optometrists growing up, but now being in our mid 30's we realized we needed to find one. She was knowledgeable, very personable, and easy to get along with and down to earth. We were even more impressed with how she conducted our young children's eye exams, as neither of them really cared for the idea. It made it an enjoyable 1st experience for them, and there is no fear of going back for their annual exams now.To anyone looking for an optometrist in Nanaimo, I suggest Dr. Henderson, you won't be disappointed!
