The pandemic has really burned me out and taken a toll on my mental health. I knew I needed to talk to someone professionally, but also wanted to be COVID-cautious. I stumbled upon Avery Therapy when researching online and was pleased to see they have a team of therapists with different approaches and specializations – both in person and virtually! Moreover, they also offer sessions with Intern Counsellors (Counsellors-to-be doing their practicum) that are extremely affordable. Virtual therapy sessions are a gamechanger.My counsellor, Jane (Jannie) Ngo is compassionate, caring, and not only is a great listener, but also offers me insights and useful exercises. I am proud and happy to say that so far, after almost 5 months of weekly sessions, I am more confident, I can communicate better, and am equipped with coping skills to keep my anxiety under control. It has improved my relationships with others and sense of self-worth. I will be a continuing client!Therapy is one of the best investments you can have to improve your quality of life (think of it like…physio for your mental health).
