Friends and family shop here and always told me of the good prices, so I started shopping at the store a few months ago. Vast variety of authentic foods. I love the hours, as I go at opening and can shop in peace and quiet. Prices are very reasonable.

Great produce, good selection of food and at a decent price. It can get pretty busy sometimes, it would be nice if they could open more tills at peak hours. 10 4 10 sale is awesome!

We have been coming here once a week and I don't think I've even seen coriander or parsley. Their fruits and vegetables section is constantly missing basic items like cauliflowers, celery, lettuce, etc. We always have to go to a different grocery store to compensate for the lack of fruits and vegetables here. We just decided to switch to a different grocery store as no other grocery store we visited have that recurring issue.

Im loving this place more and more. I couldn't believe that The local grocery store 2 mins from me has the beef stock for 3.29 and its 0.94 at Superstore. That blew my mind. Love the PC coffee as well, great price and tastes good too. I would LOVE if they brought back Butter First Oatmeal cookies. Man I miss those.

Janet the cashier was exceptionally friendly and kind. We discussed different methods of cooking rice while she rang through my items. She should be acknowledged for her warmth and genuine personality. Thank you, Janet!

The lack of customer service in the Nanaimo store is abysmal. My recent online purchase was very upsetting and, in my opinion was close to ‘bait and switch’. I ordered 4 packages of ribs - $3.29 est.) ea. - $6.34/kg average weight 0.518 kg ea. I ordered 4. I understand that prices will vary as the size is an average. However I received ribs priced at $19.18, $15.63, $17.83 and $17.07 each - A long way from $3.29 each and much bigger than 0.5kg ea. I should have received a phone call as the price from my shopping cart jumped from $138.84 to $193.77. When I phoned the store I talked to the person in charge who treated me like someone who didn’t understand what the word average means and pointed out that there was a picture of the ribs online. When I asked for the managers name she gave it to me reluctantly and pointed out that it is all over the store (there’s a reason I shop online).Overall I am shocked at the way I was treated and will certainly never shop there again. I paid for the Express Pass which only adds insult to the entire event.

pretty good sales, and i like the produce section here. it's handy to have everything you need in one place (clothes, food, cosmetics, household items, etc) so i dont have to make multiple stops

Produce department is dirty and understocked. Produce is rotting on the shelves. Staff is disconnected and not helpful.. dairy department where the milk crates sit in the cooler is very dirty. You can see milk on the floor, rotten eggs that have been there for long time.Meat department is also dirty and never has stock. Most of the cashiers are rude and disconnected.They need to go and see the Courtenay store, it's beautiful, stocked, clean, friendly staff.

Their meat prices are not terrible. Good bargain options for their snacks. When there is produce the prices are alright. The staff look miserable, and the 25 item rule for self-checkout is ridiculous. My partner and I (who share 1 cart, but buy separate) are always turned away because we are over 25 items (even though it is less since we would split it at the checkout) and on a few occasion we actually had less than 25 items but they decided to turn us away anyways. For the love of all that is holy, ditch this godforsaken policy. More often than not, customers detest this.

This is the only store my partner and I will shop at, the prices are incredible and diversity of food and other items is everything I could dream of. From specialty international foods, fresh seafood and meats, and friendly, prompt service, you cannot go wrong! The self-checkout is easy, and staff is always helpful. The staff stocking the shelves offer help, and provide excellent customer service always. This grocery store is a dream come true! ❤️ Thank you to the staff and managers for providing food and other items for us Nanaimo citizens at a great cost and excellent care :)
