Steigerwald and SonsWe recently moved from Montreal Quebec to Bowmanville Ontario and while we did hire a good moving company, one of our treasured pieces of furniture, a 1970s Teak buffet suffered quite a bit of damage during the move, which rendered it unusable. The sliding doors were askew, and the top drawer could not even pull out since the doors were preventing it from doing so. The moving company instructed us to get an estimate for the repair and submit it for their approval and reimbursement.Finding competent outfits , and/or even any willing to quote on this type of repair is a challenge in itself, but we were lucky enough to request assistance from Steigerwald and Sons in the nearby town of Whitby, and within no time they had conducted an inspection and sent us a quote via e-mail that we promptly sent off for approval.The quote was quickly approved and we were able to schedule the work within a week and 1/2 and remarkably it was done in only 2 days! The owner, Ken Steigerwald carefully studied everything, fully disassembled it, and meticulously repaired all the damaged parts. He then reinforced the entire unit to correct two horizontal panels that had deflected and were preventing the sliding doors from closing properly and stopping the top drawer from opening.Needless to say, we couldn't be more pleased, and we highly recommend Steigerwald and Sons for any furniture restoration project you may have, and, they build quality furniture from scratch as well, so if there's something you need, don't hesitate to call them--you wont be sorry you did!Yours truly,Bill Wilkat
