A great spot if you are looking for a peaceful local beach off the beaten track!

Beautiful clean beach!! A must see!!!

Lots of free parking, beautiful scenery, not crowded, cute waterfront homes, nice drive to get there and, public washrooms. Stopped off at a small market there and bought fresh baked goods. Also stopped off at Carnation Hall where apple treats are galore! I bought apple mini donuts and a jug of 100% apple cider.A must place to go back to.

A pleasant one hour westbound drive from Ottawa.

reminiscing about my incredible Norway Bay summers as a kid starting in the early 1940s... qualifying around the age of 6 so I could be certified to swim alone...had to swim the length of Chemin Pier and it seemed like a mile! so many beautiful memories...we drove up from NY and rented a cabin on the beach for a month...it began my love affair with Canada that's lasted til this day...

My grandfather started coming here when my mom was 10. She’s 83 now. We’ve been lucky enough to purchase a small property on the back road ( sadly not waterfront which is gorgeous if you have the money ) and love our time throughout all seasons . July - second week August very busy place with loads of programming for children ( official swimming lessons, tennis lessons, theatre and art programs , canoe lessons…) and lots of fun for adults ( dances and other events ). Local market every Saturday at the Pier Beach. Very safe , friendly , fun and peaceful village . Two gold courses within 5 min drive , two restaurants and one small local general store . Town (Shawville ) with all amenities 15 min drive . Biking , boating , walking, beaching …. It has everything and is an inclusive little gem.

Nice place to go with family. Specially if you have a little kids.

The beach is perfect , great place to relax. There's picnic tables for everyone and beautifully painted multicolor wooden chairs. The changing rooms are open all summer long. Come enjoy the summer at this great location, where all members of the family can relax safely!
