The Pet Shop Club has exceeded my expectations - they were not only very well acquainted with best-practices in the boarding and animal care business, but they are also compassionate and professional. The Pet Shop was able to accommodate our needs and took excellent care of our puppy, treating him as their own, and giving him the opportunity to socialize with other dogs safely and happily. I am so glad to say that The Pet Shop is a wonderful and accessible option for dog boarding in the Vancouver area, and considering how they go above and beyond, they outshine the competition!

I would not recommend this place. It's overpriced and the groomers do a bad job. I am very unhappy with the grooming. I showed a picture of another toy poodle to the groomer and I specifically said keep the face fluffy

Great spa and day care. My dog enjoys it. I love that I can pick at that my dog is doing at any time through the window, unlike other day cares that are completely blocked from the eyes of the pet parent and who knows what is happening there. They are also doing some dog training during the stay at the day care.

I took my dog here for teeth cleaning. We had adopted her a few months ago and her teeth were horrible with lots of tartar build up. She is a quite an anxious dog and I was worried how uncooperative she is about people looking at her teeth. The groomers here did a wonderful job! Her teeth look beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and seemed good with our dog. Our dog was definitely excited to go home but wasn't nearly as upset as I was expecting. It was a very good experience and worth the money. I would highly recommend going here.

The girls here are amazing! Dropped by to see if my senior Great Dane could get a quick nail trim. They squeezed him in right away! He is so anxious and the three of us could not get him to go to the back room, so they did it while he sat on my lap in the front. It was a quick, but thorough job. They were so sweet and understanding, you can tell they love what they do. Seeing their love for dogs, I’d definitely trust my pets in their care. Thanks guys!! ❤️

We have had a very negative experience with this groomer. We took our dog in in early December to be groomed and he had some ticks in his fur that we were unaware of. They asked us to come and pick him up about 30 minutes into the appointment, which was fine and completely understandable. They had washed his coat but done nothing else and he came out soaking wet. They charged me $105.31 for this service". I was embarrassed and apologetic about the ticks so I paid it without question and even left a tip. The following week I called to rebook his appointment for Jan. 20 to give us plenty of time to resolve his tick issues. My husband went to drop him off today in the middle of a work day and they did not have his appointment in the schedule and could not accommodate him. Mistakes happen but the combination of price gouging for a mostly incomplete service in difficult circumstances then not rebooking him properly has meant a lot of disruption and wasted expense. Groomers are hard to find in this city but we will definitely be going elsewhere."

Called beginning of December asking how much for full groom for my 20lb puppy and they said $75 for junior, $10 more for senior groomer. The following week I booked him an appt and went in the next day (there was a last minute cancellation). Charged me $115 when I picked him up. Inquired about this difference, guess there was a miscommunication from whoever was answering calls that day....No problem, don’t mind paying a premium for a good job but when I went home I noticed around his butt was uneven, one armpit was weirdly shaved, his balls were red, they didn’t finish trimming his tail, they didn’t finish his back legs, etc. Also the owner called me giving me a 20 min. warning before he would be done, but then when I got there 20 min. later they said they didn’t finish and it’s not perfect because he wouldn’t stand still...I thought it was odd how they said it would take 2-2.5 hrs, but they only ended up spending 2 hrs on him (most places a full groom takes 3+ hrs).Guess they don’t know how to groom or work with puppies or any dogs that move because the owner told me how 2 groomers had to work on my 6 month old puppy because he kept moving. The owner also recommended I get him a trainer lol. I thought it was a groomer’s job to know how to work with dogs/puppies. If my puppy stood still like a stuffed animal, why do I need to pay $100+ for a groomer...?When I brought him in to fix his cut, the junior groomer said Jenny did his body (a person specializing in “Canadian grooming” which is basically clippers per their website). That’s disappointing since the only reason why I came to this place was because I wanted Japanese-style scissor cutting and finishing. But what’s most alarming is that I could hear my puppy yelp and whine through the doors when they were fixing his cut.

Corkie attended Kindergarten for six weeks last summer. He is my sweet little angel but he was just so timid. The staff at The Pet Shop Club worked with him and helped so much with his confidence. He now goes to daycare and he is totally comfortable playing with the other dogs. They also did a lot of training with him, which was super helpful. He loves the staff there and now hates to leave!

I just want a grooming salon to do as I ask for grooming (and of course keep my pet safe while in their care). After filling out their forms with explicit instructions, dropping in before the appointment to discuss, and having the discussion again when I dropped my dog off, (confirming my wishes not to have any hair trimming other than the sanitary trim), the paws were trimmed anyway.I intentionally went to considerable lengths before the appointment to make sure we understood each other, and it is fruitless and frustrating that the message doesn’t get to the person doing the work.I received apologies from the grooming staff. I reached out to the owner, who did not respond, even after I confirmed that she had received my message. The lack of response from the owner speaks volumes about the lack of professionalism, lack of customer service, and lack of principled business practices.

My 90lb Great Pyrenees is not a fan of grooming, but we have been to PSC many times and she now has no problem walking into this shop and is super happy when she leaves. They do a fantastic natural cut and clean up for her. She smells amazing without being overpowering. The part I like the most is that my dog is never kennelled after the cut. They also have a doggy day care on site that looks like great fun (we’ve never tried it).The space is clean, organized, and well maintained, and the staff are very friendly and competent. They have an effective booking system that reminds you of the appointment without being annoying. Both my dog and I highly recommend The Pet Shop Club!
