The Grounds Guys of Coquitlam

Unfortunately I was never able to actually experience their quality of work...mostly because the owner of the Coquitlam franchise doesn’t respond to communication very well. We had set up several days for the work to be done...on a couple of occasions there were weather-related delays (no issue with that) but on at least two other occasions there were no weather-related issues, no communication of rescheduling, just a plain old no-show. I had to initiate all communication and often didn’t receive a reply.UPDATE:I wasn't expecting Paul to reach out after I cancelled our contract due to delays and non-communication, but I'm happy to report that Paul DID reach out. He apologized and took responsibility for not communicating better. He promised to come by the next day and he did. He worked all day long and did a very good job. Said he'd be back the next morning to finish the aerating and he did!! So, had he scheduled better I would have given him five stars. People make mistakes, but Paul took ownership of his and made it right.

It saddens me to post this but I've had a very bad experience with The Ground Guy's of Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam. At the beginning of March I called around because I needed someone to deal with some yard work around my house. I needed weeds pulled and sprayed and some leaves raked up. I called around and Paul, the owner of The Ground Guys said he could do what I was looking for. He came by on a Sunday around the beginning of the month, we discussed what I needed done and he said that would be no problem. I was very happy with the visit and decided to book his service. Originally it was booked for Friday March 19th but due to the poor weather we had to reschedule (no issues with that). After that we scheduled another date for Friday March 26. On Monday March 22nd I asked Paul what time he would be coming and he said he would touch base with me Wednesday March 24th. Wednesday rolls around and I don't hear from Paul. I decided to follow up with him on Thursday March 25th asking if he was still coming on Friday, the weather didn't look great so I suggested Monday March 29th. It is now Saturday night March 27th and I have still not heard from Paul. Monday March 29th rolls around and I get an email from Paul saying he could come today March 31st after noon or before" (whatever that means

Honest and professional.

I agree communication or responding back is not Paul's strong point very unprofessional...I too had the same weather issue and no follow up or communication as to when the work was going to be finished..
