Le vieux Laprairie est un des rares villages aussi bien préservé. On y retrouve de magnifiques maisons de plus de 200 ans. Une architecture variée selon les époques et la fortune des propriétaires de l'époque.Il est triste de voir quelques constructions des années 80 contaminer ce joyaux.Un trésor à préserver jalousement tout en le mettant en valeur. Heureux de voir que les commerçants en sont conscients et travaillent en ce sens.
